Sitting down, facing forward.
Here's some interesting info Awesome. Nic doesn't deteriorate as quickly as one might think but nothing wrong with keeping it as pure as possible. I refuse to keep the tank I'm vaping on in the freezer between hits lol.
Nicotine Concentration Over Time / Mad Vapes Blog

No, keeping the tank in the freezer between drags wouldn't work out too well. Heck, I notice my SI RY4 gets quite thick in temps around 20 when walking Bo and it makes me wonder how it keeps wicking.

That's an interesting link with some real, empirical, data. They're only eight months into testing and didn't include a freezer environment, but the results are kind of what I would expect.

I just did a quick search in both the DIY forum and the WL thread and all I could find seems to indicate that storing unflavored nicotine solution in amber or blue glass bottles in the freezer is the way to go. If you have a link, let us know. The general consensus seems to be that stored that way it will last at least two years, but I suspect it'll last almost indefinitely.

As an aside, none of the liquids, PG, VG or nicotine, will actually freeze until temperature gets below minus 64 Fahrenheit or lower. They do get kind of thick though at four below. This means no expansion from freezing, which could break the bottles, since it doesn't actually freeze.

Storing, long term storage, liquids in plastic containers may not be a good idea. Over extended time periods chemicals in the plastic could, conceivably, leach into the liquid and make it taste bad. I've seen several comments about bad, plastic tastes, in liquids stored for longer time periods in plastic bottles.

I'm phasing out all the plastic bottles I've been using for mixed liquids and using amber glass only.

Also, at least with some plastics, when it leaches into the liquid it contains, it's bad for you.

Thanks Awsum. That was going to be my "question(s) for the day" :)

Ok - I see I need to clarify - nic base in glass in freezer (smaller sizes) for less air oxidation. WL thread. I saved the info in Memo program but ATM not sure how to copy to paste it here. Will try to locate link.

After a lil chat w/ Natasha, I have to thank her! I realized some of my fruit flavors are Likes bcs of TH more than actual strong taste coming thru. Me thinks it also explains why the "menthol" is preferred. Also why Ice Menthol was preferred (no 'baccy flavor) over Artic. Now I find the 'baccy w/ or w/o menthol good.

SandySu: More thots on what you said - here's hoping my bro will have some time to help me get started w/ stalls! Mostly dirt floor BUT I have access to some 2" thick rubber mats from the dairy barn! My final goal is no more than 4 horses which would leave a generous shelter AND nice stalls 10x12. That's close to standard right? The area is 32x40 or 42 feet. Think I better be lurking at the horse forum. Sorry guys-don't mean to hi-jack Voltvillian Vapors! (WISH those buckets came in more than 3 colors! I'm all about color coding! Ink on calendars & vaping juice-drip tips; halter-feed bucket!)

Also: your guide to lunging: I've heard you should align w/ their shoulder/wither area. Step behind to move them forward; step ahead to slow. Do you (and Raynes) concur?

Oh I don't want to jinx it! Prayin for go ahead to finalizing 'sale' tomorrow!

Color coding is nice, but if you can't, maybe you can paint a stripe of the color you want on the outside of the bucket. Choose nontoxic paint, because you never know what a horse might want to gnaw on.

Yes, you're right about body positioning for longeing. There's lots written on it on the Internet and some books on it I read, too, when training Penny to longe. Some of the rules I used, and some I abandoned, like using a longeing cavesson. Penny hated the heavy noseband. Still, whatever you put on a horse's head, be careful that it stays in place when the horse pulls on the longe line so the halter doesn't slip up and rub the horse's eye. Then there are lots of ideas on how to attach the longe line. Do you get a surcingle or attach side reins to the saddle? All that stuff. I tried to keep it correct but still simple and cheap, i.e., I attached the side reins to the saddle rather than buy a surcingle. Then there's the natural horsemanship style of longeing, which is a bit different, not only in equipment but in practice. I guess you need to decide which style you want to do, though Penny learned both systems and is not at all confused by that. I started with the dressage style, then, years later, dabbled in NH, and she learned that style. And at one point, I was free-longeing, and I don't mean just chasing a horse around. We used a round pen, no longe line, and from my body position and voice commands, Penny would respond as if there were a line.

I consider myself, horsemanship-wise, a jack of all trades and a master of none. Penny & I have tried a lot of different things, but we never got top notch at any of them. It was fun and interesting, though, to try different methods.

Thx Sandy! Wonder if the spray paint made for plastic would ok ... that stuff STICKS! Think I'll look into surcingles - I have trouble lifting much weight over shoulder height if my arm is extended much. Figered it would be a good way to work toward the saddle w/o risk to the new one!
Crazy but now that I have it - don't want to get it dirty yet!
Now that insurance change over is done I can get back to PT! Everything has tightened down the past 3 months inspite of stretching & chiro.

Happy note! Got called to do spring fruit! It's only 12 days the month of March but it's wonderful to get out and earn a couple bucks at the same time! :D

Hey kico! Fine, how are YOU?
I don't have long hair anymore :D

Today! Surprise! A friend who has a battery shop gave me several batteries for tests! Including one Ultrafire 4500mAh.

Interesting about lifting the saddle. I'm going to have the same problem, I think, when I want to ride again. I could get help saddling Penny, but I want to be able to do it myself eventually. At the moment, I can't independently lift my arm, nothing in my hand, over shoulder height. I have a treeless saddle and a treed one, and the treeless is a lot lighter, so I may start with that, but then it tends to slide to the side when I mount, and I may have more trouble mounting at first, so the treed one would be more stable. I guess I'll just have to see how it goes. No point in thinking ahead too far.

PT is good! I have gotten pretty far -- but not far enough fast enough to suit me -- and I'm impatient to be back to normal.

If you don't mind me asking, what happened to you to limit your range of motion/strength? I want to get back to work, but it's very physical, and I am a bit leery of not being able to do what I used to, i.e., lift heavy things, reach high shelves, etc. I'm feeling a bit depressed lately about it all. Sometimes I go through this phase, and then I switch gears and think how far I've come. I keep doing my exercises, though, as the only thing I can do to improve the situation, even if sometimes they just seem pointless and painful.

OH MY.. if anything I said helped you, then you need to be really worried!

LOL Natasha! It's all good!

SANDY- my issues appear to be cumulative over the years. Possibly started w/ a roll down a flight of steps at 4 or 5.
Not helped by a couple nursing home injuries 12 yrs apart. Never fully recovered from the last one. That chiro was newer in the business & didn't know his way around the murky waters of workmen's comp like the 1st one. Sent me back to work the next day saying go home if it bothers. Well, being short handed & a weekend - right. Would have been easier to be staffed for a specific number of days off like the 1st time around. Growing up gettin tossed too many times to count (per horse) dad always picked up the ornery ones - never got to keep them more than a year or two. At least a dozen that I remember
I was doing pretty darn good up til last July when I overdid lifting a power screet pouring a driveway. That & my insurance balking feels like "back to square one".
Amazing how many things doing housework affect the neck / arms thru the scaps.
PT has given new meaning to to Ps 139 ( ... fearfully and wonderfully made ... ) :)

Thx for the Jeffers link! Had to laugh on 1 sale item! NO self respecting horse could possibly allow himself to be caught dead (or alive) in the "sleazy sleepwear" hood & neck get up!!!:D

Awsum: I'm amazed how well the batts hold out in cold Wx! W/ your knowledge on them, any idea why these batts out perform cell batts in the cold? Is it bcs they are not pulling a signal?

Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk 2

I think e-cig batteries perform better because the current demand is much higher which, in turn, makes them run hotter in actual temperature. A battery, when cold, loses output ability, but an e-cig battery is being drained at a high enough rate that the internal heating keeps it warm enough to work better. A cell phone, especially when idle, is drawing very little current and the battery can get cold enough to lose output.

Thx Lizzie! Just add the "s" word to your statement!

Awsum: you said you do 'baccy flavors. I've read EM mellows/mutes flavor. What do recommend to have in liquid supplies besides nic base & flavorings? Thx

Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk 2

Yes, ethyl maltol mellows, or even, weakens flavor. It also takes the "edge" off but it does need to be used VERY sparingly until you become accustomed to its effects.

I regularly add various chocolates, caramel and caramel cappuccino to my tobacco flavors. I may expand that out to "nut" flavors (sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't). I've tried adding EverClear to some of my mixes and can't say it was a success but it wasn't a failure either. I may need to add more than I did and haven't re-visited it yet because I'm still fooling with a really good basic tobacco flavor, tuning the throat hit can come later.

Other than the ingredients, PG, VG, nicotine and flavors, some syringes with various blunt needles, lots of bottles for storage of nicotine solution, base and complete mixes, pipettes for measuring small amounts, maybe an eyedropper and a good place to work without distraction or interruption and good ventilation is all you really need. A label maker is really handy too!
