Judging by that beautiful flowering tree in your backyard, seems like you live in ideal weather conditions. What is your average temps this time of year?

I don't know exactly where in Northern California Tail11 lives, but I lived out there in Redwood City, which is just south of San Francisco. There, the weather was ideal. The coldest month was December, with temperatures in the 40s, but maybe going down to just freezing on the coldest nights. Sometimes early in the morning, there'd be a skim of ice on the puddles. Then, this time of year, it's early spring. Temperatures probably in the 60s or 70s in day, maybe 40s and 50s at night. In summer, it went up to 90 about 3 days, and otherwise, it was warm but bearable. The heat was dry, and it's more bearable than humidity.

Still, even with its weather, I love this area. We get a lot more rain (or other precipitation) than most other places. That keeps everything green, which is nice in summer. In Calif., in summer, the grass in the fields turns brown/yellow, which is sort of pretty, too, but there, the grass is green in winter.

I just looked up the weather in Redwood City. Right now, it's 49.9 degrees and clear. The range today is a high of 68 and a low of 43. I'm thinking about now out there it's like late April here.

Raynes, you are back!!!!! Have a nice night.

I know I am just being a worry wart but I haven't heard from Hubby all day. Very unusual. He was supposed to work and then his brother was going to pick him up for dinner. I hope I hear from him soon.

Does he have a cell phone? Can you call him? I hope he's OK.

No answer? I guess you left a message. If he's in a restaurant, maybe he turned it off so as not to annoy anyone.

I thought he would call me at 3:30 when he got off work. Then I kind of forgot all about it while I did the afternoon chores when I got back from Fernly. Then I remembered about 5:30 so I have tried a couple of times and left a couple of messages. Like I say, I am just being a worry wart, I am sure. I am thinking maybe he went to his brother's house for dinner and forgot his cell phone in the hotel room since his brother was picking him up. He did say last night that he wanted to drive through the airport so he knew where to drop his car off tomorrow since he is coming home tomorrow so I guess I got to worrying.

It's times like this you wish you had ESP. I'm sure it's OK. Can you call his brother's house?

Yeah, I could but I hate to be calling around after him. Just isn't in my nature. If it gets to being awful late, I might.

If you're worried, call. It's not silly to worry. It means you care. Have a good night, and I hope you track him down. I have to head off to exercise land and then to sleep.

Here's an evening photo.

Hey Raynes! Great you could pop in! Hope you have a terrific night! How are your fur-babies?

JoAnn- is Spanky's seat a "Lookout" seat? That social butterfly and curiosity is sure part of their endearing qualities!

Bo is a beautiful dog Awsum! I believe you too. I think the big dogs are much more tolerant of their people taking things.

Lizzie - Sounds like Red enjoys his job more than rides!
(Whispering) His secret is safe!
Yes, they all need to be protected from their tastebuds & noses!
No way you take a "treasure" found in the yard from Beethoven! We have worked on that from day one. He's ok with anything in the house - but if he finds it outside ... that's a whole different story.

Horses - lunch time is going much better by putting Habib & Spice in the pen first, then, while tying Molly & Sultan, Amira & Zane will come in. Everyone is noticably more relaxed! Once we get another gate put up, I'll only have to tie Molly to keep her out of Sultan's.

Anyone know if MFS tobacco flavors need to steep? It just seems like there's 'something missing' - a drop of Desert Joe flavor & 3 drops of a coffee sumantra juice sure helped a mil in a clearo!

Have a great evening all! Hello to Rave & Blues - hope all is going better for you too ...

I hope you hear from him soon. Since he's having dinner with his brother, he probably is not aware of what time it is.

Whew! Glad he finally called. :)

Me, too, Joanne, me too. I don't worry too often but he usually calls but he got off work late and then his brother came to pick him up as he was getting out of the shower and he forgot his phone. He had a nice time with his brother and a good dinner.
