JoAnn- is Spanky's seat a "Lookout" seat? That social butterfly and curiosity is sure part of their endearing qualities!

His seat has an inflatable insert that cushions and raises him up with a strap that goes around the headrest of the front passenger seat and two more straps that fasten around the body of the seat. There is also a short "leash" that attaches to his harness. That thing is held firmly in place.

I'm not sure which he prefers, his animal buddies or his human friends. I believe he has more human friends than I do. While we are out walking, people speak to me AND to him... for example, (to me, with a smile) "Good morning/evening.."; (to him, in babytalk) "Good morning/evening Spanky! How's my boy today? Oh you are so precious and I can tell you are having a great time!!!" at the same time being stroked. He sucks it up like a sponge. I think that's why he gets depressed if we miss too many outing days. He craves the attention from his many fans.

Judging by that beautiful flowering tree in your backyard, seems like you live in ideal weather conditions. What is your average temps this time of year?

Our highs are in the mid to upper 60's right now. Lows are in the 30's and 40's. Depends on whether or not we get wind and cloud cover. It's supposed to hit 70 tomorrow. Yea!

I don't know exactly where in Northern California Tail11 lives, but I lived out there in Redwood City, which is just south of San Francisco. There, the weather was ideal. The coldest month was December, with temperatures in the 40s, but maybe going down to just freezing on the coldest nights. Sometimes early in the morning, there'd be a skim of ice on the puddles. Then, this time of year, it's early spring. Temperatures probably in the 60s or 70s in day, maybe 40s and 50s at night. In summer, it went up to 90 about 3 days, and otherwise, it was warm but bearable. The heat was dry, and it's more bearable than humidity.

Still, even with its weather, I love this area. We get a lot more rain (or other precipitation) than most other places. That keeps everything green, which is nice in summer. In Calif., in summer, the grass in the fields turns brown/yellow, which is sort of pretty, too, but there, the grass is green in winter.

I just looked up the weather in Redwood City. Right now, it's 49.9 degrees and clear. The range today is a high of 68 and a low of 43. I'm thinking about now out there it's like late April here.

I live in Stockton which is east of San Francisco. It is part of the central valley where all the veggies, almonds and cherries are grown. I love summer because it doesn't rain at all. Usually between the months of May - end of October. It's primo for motocycle riding until the temps reach up in the 100's.

It's a bit dusty here because of the farming. The farmers seem to always be busy plowing and stirring the dirt. A lot of folks (including me) have allergies here. My dog does too and has started her "itchy season". I've already got her on Claritin.

California has interesting microclimates. On the peninsula, it's more moderate. Across the bay to the east, the temperatures are more extreme. I think Redwood City was perfect, since we didn't get the coastal fog (there was a range of mountains/hills between us and the ocean), but we didn't get the extremes of the East Bay area, either. Stockton is inland enough to get more extreme heat and cold. I think I'd have trouble with summer heat there.

hey there....just got back from the pub.....so needed a night out...I won $400 on pokies....might buy a provari.......nah!!! I actually got in trouble...pull out my spinner....making huge vape clouds....bouncers came over...hey deb....those smoke rings are bigger than usual...I said its ok matey...its my new spinner....he said sorry ull have to go out....we don't mind your smaller bats...but the smoke is taking over the pokie area....I said mate its not smoke...its vape...it was funny I didn't realize how much vape was in the area until I looked back.....wow!! I was vaping...ok then ill go out....

Sandy - w/ sound turned way down & hand covering most of the screen got thru "Cloud" ... had to so I could watch the rest of the vids! Looking Glass appears to have some Fresian blood, noticed some feathering!

Tail - loved the pic (bpoom)! Cali= idilic Wx! Stockton = Big Valley ( Barkley's)! We spent 3 yrs in Orange County (85-88); 2 Thanksgivings in NE bay area (hubbys cuz lived in Hercules on Apollo street!)
He took us thru the Nappa Valley & Winery's - ever so so beautiful! We didn't go out to Alcatraz but spent some time in that area. I would have stayed @ the time but things had changed so much hubby was miserable ... sigh.
I had a huge pine cone from a visit Big Bear til 5 years ago? It would be perfect on a shelf by the mural here at mom's!
I miss my breakfast from the Bristol cafe (omelette w/ avacado), Sizzler's Lemon Pepper chicken w/ a red wine - desert was always a ride thru Silverado canyon on the back of Mike's Suzzi! So relaxing w/ the warm evening breeze !!!!! We would end up down by El Toro & coming home on PCH along the ocean ... The only thing I liked about the beach was ice cream on Newport pier! Out there Trader Joes was a block away ... now it would be over 3 hours!

JoAnn that sounds like a comfy safe seat for Spanky! Beethoven is spoiled to the front seat. We've noticed a few double takes and chuckles along the 4 lane when other driver's have realized hubby or bro was sitting in the backseat on trips!
