Good evening, Volties.

House cleaned. He wants the walls washed with TSP. That is a big job and we are spreading it out over several trips.

I weeded out some more of the needle and thread grass and fed it to the goats. I am trying to weed twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the evening. Spring is rough.

The wind is coming up and it will be back to the low 70's tomorrow but it was a cloudy 81 degrees today. Not too bad with the clouds over head.

My growing lettuce and rads in the greenhouse is working out pretty well. We are having another salad from the pickings.

Kon, you are very smart with computers. I always cross my fingers whenever I make an online entry:)

Tail is probably recoveing nicely and wondering why they don't just serve everyone soup and crackers after surgery instead of hospital greenbeans and crappy chicken.

I'll check in, too, though my day wasn't as eventful as Lizzie's. I went to the library and organized books. I finally reached the end of the alphabet! There are just some Easy Reader books in a separate section to do before I start again at the beginning. Interesting that the books were more disorganized at the end than at the beginning, as if someone went before me and gave out at about at the letter S. They have a weird system of alphabetizing. Today my puzzle was an author with the last name St. George. Chicago Manual of Style says to alphabetize that as if the word Saint were spelled out, but not at the library. Nor do you treat it as if St. was one word and put it before a name like Stein. You treat it as if it was all one word: Stgeorge. I guess I didn't have a very exciting day when that's the big news of the day, huh? It rained off and on all day, but I think tomorrow may not be as rainy.

Good morning, Voltatics! Today looks a little more hopeful, at least here in the Nanny State. There is actually some sunshine and it's in the mid 50's. With some luck, we might actually get up to the upper 60's or low 70's today. After the all day rain yesterday that would be nice, although the light rain, all day, is good for soaking the ground and making the plants grow. Unfortunately, the weeds seem to grow better!

Coffee is on, dark roast Columbian and bagels and munchies are available.

The Dewey Decimal System seems the best way to arrange books in a library. Unfortunately, everyone interprets it a little differently, and "we must have our rules" whether they are based on logic or the whim of some rocket scientist.

Pictures of broken concrete, holes in the floor and finished concrete will follow in the near future. It's not really part of the solar project, just some prep work before the actual solar project starts. We'll probably be without hot water for a day when I actually move the water heater. There is a lot of pipe work to do so the hot water heater can be supplied directly from the well, with the oil furnace as a pre-heater or the solar system for a pre-heater. I'm also going to color code all the piping in the basement for cold, hot water heat, hot water heat return, domestic hot water and solar hot water. It's starting to turn into a maze down there!

DUDE! I told you put a small panel for your garden lights and you created a factory..... :D

I drink the same coffee everyday.

What kind of coffee do you drink? Is it thick and in a little cup like Turkish coffee? Or do you drink American-style coffee? We always have French Roast, which is a kind Bill likes. It's sort of strong for me, but I'm not fussy about the kind of coffee I drink. I gave up coffee for a while and drank tea, but when I broke my arm, I went back to coffee. I'm not sure why. Maybe because everyone else was drinking it. My problem with coffee is that I just can't stand it black. I need sugar in it, and I add milk, too, though I could do without milk in a pinch. My change to tea was an effort to consume less sugar, since I can drink tea without additives. I drank green tea for a while, since I read that it's good for you, but it got boring after a while. I think coffee is more interesting tasting than tea, but I'm not sure I like needing a cup to wake up fully in the morning.

Good morning Voltville and thanks for the coffee. I need at least one cup, heavy on the sugar and cream, everyday with my morning vape... RY4!!!

Heavy hard rain this morning... and there is nothing worst than an extremely wet dog that has very thick long hair coming in the house after their morning "business" trip. Shaking all over me, dripping all over the floor. Even with a towel ready Ive got to dry him, the floor and myself before my coffee and 1st vape of the day...

Interesting. I guess you always drink it cold. I liked this: " As the bubbles come closer together they will slowly start to coalesce and create bigger bubbles. According to the Laplace equation, variation in bubble size will result in faster collapsing of the bubbles since the bigger bubbles will consume the smaller ones." I pictured some sort of sci-fi monster bubbles consuming themselves and growing larger and larger, till they took over the world.

Don't you love the smell of wet dog?

I don't think he likes it either. Poor thing won't get off the towel now... had to use three to get him "barely damp". I had to love my little stinky baby up because after my cussin & fussin session, he thought I was yelling at him because he did something wrong...

I just made a grooming appointment for him but the earliest I could get is Friday.

I do have a habit of going overboard, LOL!

I like a frappe, but it needs to be made from a base of strong, real, coffee. Instant coffee is kind of a sacrilege to me. With one cup brewers and espresso machines it's really easy to make single cups at whatever strength may be needed, preferably the stronger the better.

Bo got groomed yesterday, bath and nails, and they used a tangerine scented shampoo. Imagine a really large, wet, fur ball that smells like an orange with doggy overtones. That's what I got for his afternoon walk. We've got him trained so that when he comes back inside he stands and waits just inside the door to be toweled and have his paws wiped. He does look a little bored with the whole process, but it helps keep the footprints off the floors. He's gotten so accustomed to it that he knows when to wait, like when it's raining, and knows when he can just saunter on into the kitchen.

They always think they look good when they smell bad. It's a dog thing. He probably just doesn't understand how you could be mad when he smells so deliciously stinkey.
