Every hypothetical question hides some reality behind it and every real question some hypothesis beneath it.
Moreover, hypothetical questions are our safer routes to knowledge, since real questions involve real experience and real experience as a source of knowledge can not only be highly limited, but also be quite risk prone!! In other words, hypothetical questions not only hedge us against real risks, but also open up the scope for wider learning.
