Another busy week, trying to get movement on the lake camp we're buying, studying for the scuba instructor examination (both days this coming weekend).
vaping wise, VV Grand should be out for delivery tomorrow, though I'll have to pick it up Friday if wifie isn't around to sign for it

I am laughing at an Australian lady's description of some beads she is showing in my bead forum

Got the schedule for the IE exams. Two hours Friday night (fine). Start at 8 Sat, done about 8 pm (okay, home about 9). 8 am Sun at Alexandria Bay -- not so cool, that's a 2 hour drive.
It's a neat thing overall. A mix of written tests, classroom presentations by us, pool skills, open water (A Bay for us) checkout dives, open water rescue (gear stripping, providing breaths, while moving a non-breathing diver to shore). The pool skills and open water are things where other students are purposely told to mess specific things up, to make sure that the candidates properly identify and correct issues.
I'm getting hit by a minor round of allergies and possible cold, which makes ear equalizing more interesting
With taking care of the menagerie tossed in (DW is going to NYC, family get together for her brother's birthday), needing to do a little prep before each of the sessions, that 8am Sun bites, would have to be up at 5:30, out the door by 6. I've done a push back, will see if they accept it -- the Examiner doesn't know local geography, so it's up to our training director to suggest a later start. Even 9 Sun would make a big difference. (If we wouldn't schedule classes with that kind of schedule, they shouldn't be testing against it.)

Its Bike Week here so Im getting my boots and pink helmet on and going for a ride on our Harley.
Today is DH's birthday. Made his cake. Made and ate a dinner of baked pasta with chicken, but we're going out tomorrow night (woot!) AND his birthday presents were delivered at 5:30 - just when I thought UPS had deiced to call it a night!
He got 2 Elvis Mr Potato head - the 68 Special one and the Blue Hawaii one. In case you think that's odd - well, yes it is. He collects Mr Potato heads. And didn't have any of the Evli (plural of Elvis in my book)
I'm also bidding on a circus one (vintage) for his Christmas present.

OH! And The Boy remembered to call his dad (I texted him earlier in the week) and we both got to talk to him. I miss talking to him.
His report: In the past week he's been approached by a Libertarian, an Independent and a follower of Buddha. The political ones wanted signatures to put their candidates on the ballot in Nov (seems a little late to be doing this) and the religious guy wanted to give him a book and would accept a donation. he accepted 1 & 2 and declined 3, but politely and wished the guy a great day.
Of course he's seen the guy every day since and the guy never remembers that they've already spoken.
