Dude, that reminds me of a funny story...
OK, about 2 years ago, I was stuck at a plateau...Lifts were OK, training was spot-on, and the diet was as clean as it got...But I couldn't gain any mass for anything! Sooooo, I was talking about it with my friend Aaron, who's been lifting for maaaaaany more years than I, and he's like, "dude, try eating dirty for a couple days, see what happens".
Anyways, it was arms day that day...I beat myself to a bloody pulp, and went to hang out at my other workplace (I worked at a game store too, at the time), and my boss was like, "dude, you're always hungry, take these ice cream bars...otherwise I'm gonna throw them all away". Normally, you couldn't get me to even think about touching junk food, but I was like "sure, why not", and ended up finishing the greater part of a 36-count box of ice cream bars in a little less than an hour. And was still hungry! I don't think I stopped eating anything and everything in sight until I went to bed that night!
I woke up the next morning, headed down the stairs to get ready for work, when I noticed myself in the window's reflection...MY ARMS WERE HUGE!! I about cried tears of joy! I ran to every mirror in the house just to make sure I wasn't trippin', and sure enough...Aaron was right!
Ever since then, whenever I'm having trouble getting a muscle group to grow (after a while), I'll end my workouts by throwing down all the "yummy stuff" I can until it's time to pass out, and 9/10 times, I'll blow up like a tick.
See, ice cream
does have it's place in dieting!!
