lol mini!! I am fine with my mil!! she is awesome!! FIL!!!! ugh!!! he is from the caveman era when women are for cookin and cleanin!!!We .... heads everytime!! I even taught him how to make coffee the last visit!

OMG! I did that the first time I met my father-in-law! lol. MIL and I were washing dishes and cleaning up everything and he was sitting there waiting for his after dinner coffee. I explained the process to him while I dried the dishes. rofl. We get along pretty well but I have never seen him make another pot. Can't teach an old dog new tricks I guess.

(((Squeeze Tracey))) Hi back! My child is having a blast...everyone is totally in love with her and she's being incredibly good! Tomorrow is another big family day, going to Beth's mom's sister's house and everyone will be there. And there will be other children for Livi to play with so she'll be in baby paradise. I'll have to stealth vape and that's going to suck, but I think I'll survive.

So a few months back my husband and I gave a friend of ours 500$ because he couldn't make rent. He told us he would pay us back in weekly payments of 125$ because he had a job, just hadn't gotten his first paycheck yet.

This money came out of our savings account. For emergencies. For my sons College.. etc. We lent it to him 2 months ago. We have received 1 payment.

Yesterday, he posted on facebook that he "Just got $5,550 worth of federal pell grant for school. Woot!"

The next status update:
"Just had a great fancy dinner with some friends!"

Next status update:
"Just got my very first tattoo!"

Next status update:
"Got a big screen TV now! Yeah boy!"

I commented on that one. "Um. You gonna pay us back? Still owe us like $400."

No reply.

Next status update:
"Got my lip pierced!"

Are you kidding me!?!?!? PAY US BACK.

My husband hasn't gotten unemployment in 3 weeks, I don't start the next semester until the end of August, and I probably wont get my loan until the end of the semester. We like, need that freaking money. This is ridiculous. We gave him that money because he was in a hard place and we trusted him to pay us back when he was able to. Now we are in a hard place, he is apparently rolling in $$$ and do we see our money back?? Nope.

We had to go and apply for food stamps today. I am just so scared for us and it makes me so incredibly mad that my 'friend' is doing this to us. I just can't believe it.

I guess I will just have to sell a bunch of crap now. Who wants a fender stratocaster? -_-

Ugh, Sallana, I've had that happen to me as well. While I will give and give and give when my friends need anything, money is now the one place I'll draw the line. I've been burned too many times before going that route and I don't want to lose any friends! ((((hugs))) Things will get better for you, I just know it.

Also, Chelle, the pictures of Livi are soooooo freaking adorable. She is just beautiful. And how wonderful for her that she has so many people that love her.

Thanks Suzy. I have learned my lesson! So has Sam! But what's weird is there's a few of you here that I would lend 500$ to (if we had it, lol) in a heartbeat and not be worried.

My faith in the universe is down 50 points, but my faith in PIF remains the same.

On a side note.. I have 600 posts now. I know it's not a lot compared to some of you junkies But it's more posts than I've ever had on a forum, and I played a game with an attached forum for 11 years an only ever racked up 200 whopping posts. I think that says something. Perhaps that I need PIFA.

Sallana, why not file in small claims court? It wouldn't cost that much, and it might give that person the "gentle shove" that he needs to realize that he needs to pay you back NOW.

I learned a long time ago, never loan anything you can not afford to lose.
I still loan people money and things, but I never count on getting it back, so when I do it is a wonderful feeling.
