yeah, I actually think House is a nice guy. He says what is on his mind. And does he get the job done? Yup..everytime...

I haven't seen House in a long while and didn't realize he'd gone soft.

Personally, I'd find that an absolute affront and pandering to the PC crowd if he did. I've known plenty of folks who were total hard behinds on the outside and had a soft, chewy innard. Heck, my dad is one of them and is tough as nails. I saw him put a railroad tie through his foot once and he just let out his breath, cussed out that nail, pulled his foot off it, and then kicked the entire railroad tie with his foot before calling for my mom to tell her that he'd hurt his foot and probably needed stitches. Had she let him, I think he was going to stitch it himself. Seriously, he's the toughest man I know. He'll also light you up if you short him a dime and 20 years in the Navy did nothing for his vocabulary or tact.

Now, put a baby bird in the backyard or a sick dog around and he's a big teddy bear. He sobs when he has to put a dog to sleep. It just tears him apart.

No no stop it.
He's not nice. Neither am I.

Yeah, right. You got any daughters? I'd like to talk to them if so. I'd wager they have you wrapped around their little finger.

I know I can change my daddy's mind with a smile, a wink, or a smirk. It consistently amazes my mom as to what I can do to him without even hardly trying.

I hear you on the dad thing. My dad was a minister. One day he cut the tip of his thumb off on a table saw. He wrapped his hanky around it and went to tell me mom. She said well let's go get it stitched. He actually went and got cleaned up and put on his collar and suit before he would go. He said he might see someone that new him and had to look his best and set a good example. Also said if he was going to the hospital anyway he would check and see if anyone needed a visit.
Amazing man.

No kids.
I'm a tough guy. Really now stop it or you'll make me cry. I am a tough guy I am.
