I have sudoku to get me throught the rough patches when the threads aren't moving.... :)

I love Soduko. I have a book by my bed and also have it on my DS. Have you ever played Ken Ken; that is fun too.

OK you think I'm exaggerating today?
I just told my helper to open up the stuff UPS just brought and see whats in it.
He carried the unopened boxes into my office and said "what did you say is in them?)

So, I can't help but notice that you and your husband have lived in predominantly university towns. Is he in academia?

No - he's a chemical engineer with aspirations of teaching high school chemistry when son3 is gone and we don't need him to make "the big bucks" lol He can't stand that son1's teachers can't seem to make it more interesting. It was because of his chemistry teacher in high school that he even went to college. He made it fascinating and challenging and helped him research schools and possible careers. Almost went into the Army, his mom had a fit b/c his dad had been career Army (DH was born in Italy) , got an appointment to West Point, mom cried, he ended up at UC because it was the farthest school from home but still in state for tuition.

other aspiration is lottery winner: has plans to open an Antique and Unique Gift store (if we won!) to give us an excuse to travel and find old stuff and refinish old stuff.

Has a magic 8 ball on his desk at work and uses it and owns the complete collection of Calvin & Hobbs books. Would find Dilbert funnier if it weren't so true to life.

I never thought of Cincy as a University town - but we do have a ton of schools Xavier, UC, Mt. St. Joesph, Northern KY, Thomas More and just 45 miles to the north is Miami of Ohio.

And no, he's not with Proctor & Gamble (P&G) or Proctor & God as the locals refer to it.

He started as a process engineer then moved to R&D. He's also a friggin genius - as in really, truly, perfect math score on the ACT & SAT genius. The kids may all look like me but thankfully got his brains.

He falls under the category of Does Not Work or Play Well with Idiots.

But I didn't think anyone was looking is what he told the Principal, I wasn't trying to upset anyone.

Just do to him what my grandmother did to me.

With the most woeful, solemn look on her face, she'd lowly murmur: But God was looking...

That worked really, really well on me until I was about 10 1/2.

Today, I always think that my grandma is watching...and that keeps me in check. She was a dear, dear woman and if there's anyone I would never want to let down, it'd be her.

But, yeah, I can still see that look and hear the gravity of her voice when she'd say that.

Ah, I remembered you saying something about Purdue in another post. That must be why I thought academia. Figured he was up there at either UC or Louisville.
