marci - I was a pad smoker and When I started vaping I did increase my vaping - but cut back my nic. When I smoked I had to go outside. When I vape I can do it in the house. DH and I had to work to some agreements - he's never smoked and never quite understood the attraction - but did in a small way understand the addiction - he saw how ugly I got each time I tried to quit - and saw that this time I was "all sunshine and light" (lol) well, not quite - but waay better than going cold turkey.

It's been 8 months and I'm down to 12mg-6mg. I still tend to chain vape - but I can be away from it longer and longer without wanting to bit someone's head off.

Hang in there - keep the communication going with your hubs - the addiction to smoking can be harder to beat than heroine according some studies.

You have quit the other 1000+ chemicals they put in cigs to keep you hooked. He may not realize that. Check in the newbie threads for MistressNomad's videos - she did a lot of digging on cigs and MAOI's and the other addictive properties of cigs - not just the nicotine. Nicotine is just one of the things we were addicted to,

I sadly vape just as much as I did when I first started. Hubby quit cold turkey 2 years before I started vaping, he sometimes gives me a hard time but I just give him the evil eye and he shuts up. I went from 24mg to 20mg, I just can't seem to lower it anymore. My mother in law said to me the other day "Shouldn't you be at 0 nic by now??" I said...well I guess I can go back to smelling bad if you like? "No no....you just keep up with that sweet smelling stuff!" :p

On the other hand I feel like I can put the PV down longer than I could ever leave a cigarette alone, so that's something in itself I guess :)

Just a quick update on the sickies over here:

Livi has Croup :( My poor baby. We've had a long and scary night.

I have some kind of throat infection. If there isn't some improvement when I wake up again, I'll go to the Dr.

Livi and Beth are sleeping now and I'm going to join them. (((PIF)))

(((((Chelle and Beth and Livi))))) I know all too well how awful croup could be and spent many a night in a steamed up bathroom with my kids when they were little. The coughs are so painful to hear and to know that they are coming from your little one.

Chelle, have you tried gargling with salt water for your throat?

Still sending healing vibes!

Good morning PIF, and wishing everyone a wonderful weekend! :)

Okay, just a quick question from those who have sold in the classifieds...

I am assuming that since I have a PayPal account set up that I can receive money? Does it go into the PP account? Then, keep it there and/or transfer it later?? Kinda dumb questions to some, but I've never actually sold anything and plan on doing it soon. I just don't want to screw up and look st*pid if I try to sell something.

Trouble, yes it goes right into your paypal account. You just give the buyer your email that is associated with your account and they will send the money. You will get an email stating that someone has sent you money. Then you can either use it to buy things using your PP acct or you can have it transferred into your bank account.

OH cool trouble is going to buy me something....tee hee snork

B, I remember those croup days. Oh how I hated them. They were so scary. Not to worry tho, they do in fact grow out of it, usually by the time they turn 6 or so. Both my boys got it when they were little, quite often in fact. Or it seemed like every time someone had a sniffle, in no time it turned to croup. I hope you and Livy are feeling better today than you did yesterday, and even better tomorrow. ((hugs))

After I posted here, Livi went into another coughing/barking/not breathing right fit and we took her to urgent care. It turns out she's got bronchitis and an ear infection. :( She just will not sleep either and we're about to lose our minds. Beth finally went to bed and I'm trying to wait the crying from the crib out, but it's breaking my heart and I'm about to go up there. The medicine seems to be helping some already, she's not coughing nearly as much, but it's still there.

Aww, nothing worse than a sick baby, you feel so helpless. Everyone knows you would gladly take the sickness if you could ... hang in there, she should perk up within a day if she's got the medicine now.

You're in all our hearts & prayers and good wishes.
