We will also commission an artist to paint a picture of her incorporating some of her ashes into the painting. I thought three heads might be nice ... one as a puppy ... one as a teenager ... and one as an adult. It is still in the thinking stage. What do you think?

That is a beautiful idea. I can't think of a better way to remember her:)

No smiles for me today. I just lost my best friend Amber. She was the best girlfriend with 4 legs I've ever had.

I'm so sorry, Maya. I lost both of my beautiful rottweilers in the last year. Lady was 13 and Harley was only 9. Even though it's been 8 months since we've lost Harley, I just can't seem to get over his death. Lady was very old so we expected her death, but Harley died very suddenly. I feel like I was cheated out of 3 or 4 years with my big bear, Harley. I still think I hear them walking around the house at night. I don't know if I'll be able to get another dog. We buried both dogs in the backyard right near my bedroom window and I'm not sure this was the right thing to do. Everytime I go in the backyard and see their graves I get hysterical. I know it's a terrible thing to say but I was far worse off when my dogs passed then when I lost an elderly family member this year.

Hugs to you; I hate to hear of someone losing their beloved dog. It's so unfair that dogs don't live longer. RIP Amber.

I'm so sorry Maya :(

When my mums dog passed, she was about 15, she had been around through most of my childhood. I was over here and upset as anything right along with her, she had her cremated and her ashes sealed in a locket. I keep that locket in a special place, I'm too scared of the chain breaking. It's tarnished from sitting there but I'll get a pic and show you.

Her name was Brandy :)

Oh edit...She also had a locket made for my sister and my brother and one for herself along with the rest of her ashes in an urn. She was a part of the family, like anyones pet, and she was treated as such :)

I have a question.. didn't want to start a whole thread, but couldn't find a thread on it.. what is the best and most efficient way to recycle bottles? I have them all boiled, and the bottles themselves are not an issue, but the tops, the dropper parts, they get clogged and nothing will squeak by that lil hole! I huffed and puffed and blew til I was blue :( what else can i do? I've tried very hot water and used a blunt syringe to try and flush.. only to get 3mls of hot water splashed back at my face haha! any good tips or tricks or hints?

I usually just fill the bottle they came off of with hot water put the tip back on and squeeze the hot water back out, then dry with a qtip

morning! I've already been to the mechanic - grrrr. Another check engine light - this time they claim's it's a different sensor. god news is, it doesn't have to eb replaced - bad news is, unless I replace it the check engine light won't go off. I have a sensor that will tell you that your gass cap isn't screwed on tight - my cap is - but the senor thinks it's not.

NOT the way I wanted to start my Monday.
