Please tell me you didn't get sun burnt while working UNDER the house. If so, I think you have something wrong with more than the ducts! lol

Our 1st house had a crawl space - poor DH had a heck of a time when we got a water leak at the far end of the house (opposite end from the crawl space entrance) and had to work his body all the way down to the muck at the other end - and lay there while i handed him tools thru a vent. I was 8 months PG and there was no way I was going to fit!

In my next life, I am finding you and I'm going to marry you. There is NOTHING that you can't do. You're awesome!

it rained today!! I am SOOOO glad!!

And I got most of my stuff done, got new shocks- for free, (179.00 value) and picked up a few things while in town- including some duct- because BR thinks that whats wrong with half the house- the duct was old and dogs had screwed it out, so it wasnt working well-
So, I bought 25 new feet and got under the house and installed it. I hate bugs, I hate dirt, I hate spiders. and I hate laying on my back in a 2ft tall space trying to work in conditions where all three are present. OH and I have a sunburn. so it was OOHHHHH NO SO comfertable.

But its done now, I am clean, and I am waiting on more rain!!

Some days I'd pay you to take her...some days I'd hurt you real bad for trying. :D

If we should become neighbors I'll babysit anytime!

Gosh Mangus, I *almost* want to do it! That was a very moving and convincing plea. And can you please sound out your daughters name for me? I'd appreciate it :D

Hey guys!

It's amazing, I can cook an elaborate meal with fancy ingredients and no one raves about it but if I make "clean out the refrigerator" soup with homemade bread everyone is happy. It was cream of potato, mushroom, onion and carrot soup tonight. It's way too hot for soup but I offered them grilled steak and baked potatoes and they wanted soup. :shakes head in confusion: I really think that they just wanted the bread.

I wish that I had the energy and can-do spirit that quittin has.

Magnus- Why, oh why, do we have to wait till September for the next Dr. Who episode??? What did you think of the "A Good Man Goes to War" episode?
I found this set of prints of Doctors 9-11 on Etsy. I think I know what's going on the wall in one of our hallways.

Most of the wait seems to have to do with Sherlock's conflicting schedule but some of it is because they also want to introduce some books during the gap that will help integrate some of the Whoniverse that they've basically reset. And TORCHWOOD!

You can read most of my thoughts starting at http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/outside/188052-doctor-who-4.html#post3416615 but I've got stuff all over that thread.

I think it will remain highly underrated until Moffatt closes out the full season. Since that episode and some postings I've made elsewhere I have been invited to some pre-screenings in the UK for the second half of the season. So I'm starting to wonder which big elements I was most right about. I'm still thinking River actually kills Rory to end up in the Stormcage. We'll see.

Nice Etsy find! See you around the halls. -Magnus

p.s. I'm on my final stages of my screen accurate 11th Doctor sonic mod based on the Celestial Toystore's work. Look forward to powering that up and it not exploding. ;-)

LOL- No, I am WHITE- like BLIND you white- I cant even wear shorts without blistering in about 10 minutes. I CAN tan,, I just dont take the time- I would love the 'sun kissed' look, not the 'rolled in a bag of doritos' look- LOL but I will settle for the 'can walk to the barn and holler at the kids, or walk outside and shoot a few rounds without burning to a flippin crisp' look--

SO- my husband INSISTED that I go to a tanning bed- ( I havent been to a tanning bed in over 20 years-) because I dont wear sundresses, shorts, or anything like that because of the whiteness- Last year I did the 'spray tan' in a bottle thing- OMG- that was a PITA- AND- I got caught in a rain storm and streaked- and the ONE time I took the kids to the lake, I burned to a crisp. with SPF on. and I dont have time to layout for 3 minutes a day for weeks just to get a little sun. LOL And I wont take my kids to the lake, and I am always in boots, jeans and such and in 110 degree heat that doesnt always work. SO- I relented. I am just a little red, but even a little red and wallerin in the dirt dont mix- LOL

awwww your so sweet :) oxxoxoxoxo

I'm impressed, too. I'm too girly to get that dirty. I hate to even sweat!

I do have a question though...... Why was the dog getting frisky with the duct work? :p Bad Dog!

ROFLMAO! slight typo. But they did screw it up. and pull it OUT. some dang strays ripped it plumb out last year, and were laying IN it... LOL

I dont mind getting dirty as much as I dont wanna LAY in the dirt. LOL and I really dont like when my skin cries. LOL

Funny thing, today I did Rayleys nails (who just turned 7 today) for the wedding she will be in saturday, and we redyed her pink stripe in her hair- well, me and her were under the house taping the duct up, and I had misplaced my knife- I started cussing, She said "well here mom, just use mine" and pulled it out of her pocket- and in the same breath said "I better not break a nail doing this, or someone is gonna pay bigtime" I couldnt help but laugh-

Enid, LOL- thank you :) although I am not sure about the energy thing.. LOL it was just HOT in this house, and I wanted it fixed! Hubby would have done it, But I would have had to help-
