I finally fiqured out what the fuss was about on my 'corporation' name- Because it said "association' in the title, some of the more intelegent and college educated folks decided (amoungst themselves and without speaking to ME) that we couldnt be registered as an association or foundation. well- Since thats just the NAME and we are actually registered as a corporation its all a mute point. of course it all boils down to the fact that because I am just a stay at home mom who doesnt have a job, got married at 18 and have never went to college- I dont have the sense to read anything and comprehend what I have read...

whats funny is the two or three VERY rich people on my board that are buisiness owners are behind me 100% its the ones who went to college and now work for the city or county that are trying to convice everyone that everything I am doing is wrong.

Yes Lynlee. Andy Samberg is heartable but I have to disagree about hobbits. I find them quite adorable/sexy really...although Strider did steal my heart in the trilogy (the books) and then with Viggo Morentsen on the screen..it was also be still this heart of mine.

As to troll...I thought a troll on a message board was someone who deliberately posted to stir up trouble?

I am NOT an expert by any means - I have read 3 books on non profits, plus Lord only knows how many ebooks, and read a law book on corporation, and on buisiness law. and researched this crap till I am blue in the face. I am SURE I have missed a few things, or have something confused, BUT, for the most part I have the ability to do this if folks would just HELP instead of fighting me every step of the way.

and I had to write up a proposal for the money requests, it wasnt the official proposal, but a rough draft and it had to be done in about 3 hours notice. I sent it out, and got back from a huge business owner that I had done a great job and he couldnt believe it was my first time to write one.
another guy said he thought a 'high dollar philidelphia lawyer' wrote it and broached the subject about if the lawyer was doing it pro bono or if we had to pay him adn that it wasnt a good idea to start paying someone big bucks for that.

Of course one person called me out because they said 'procure' was not a word.

Yes, but back when 2400bps dial-up was a high-speed connection and you had to at least be familiar with *nix commands because Mr Gates couldn't figure out how to make his file management system compatible with "the internet" all you had was a bunch of geeks (and some of us who were merely lucky geek wannabes) downloading and uploading forum posts. The way we discussed things then would be considered by a lot of people to be trolling. What we considered trolls then were basically people who were simply trying to insult everyone in a forum without having bothered to read any of the forum before that...

A key difference is that back then most of us looked forward to a good flamewar ("good" being one that was entertaining and followed the rules) whereas now flaming is generally just banned because the general lack of creativity and instant plunge into name-calling just makes it not worth watching anymore...

For three decades of my life interacting with docile covered women and now they ~speak~ *gasp* and are forward *gasp^2*... and even after another decade it's still quite awkward for me.

So I've been a political prisoner, I'v sustained three gunshot wounds, I've been poisoned, beaten by thugs, and eaten at Cracker Barrel. And none of that scares me as much as tripping up w/ Pchela or Bianca or MustangSallie or the likes. ~They~ terrify the ....ing noodles out of me.

By your standards, I am quite a newbie to the interwebs/tubes having gone online in 1999. Much of what you just said flew several miles above my head! I could see how trolling back then might mean trolling for information as if you were trolling for fish, and now trolls are disruptors acting like Grimm fairy tale trolls.

There are message boards where flame wars have gone on and personally, being exposed to them, I find them very upsetting. Most do became games of name calling and the rudeness never ceases to surprise me. I can see keyboard warriors sitting at their computers in their underwear, scratching their asses and say things to other people, complete strangers, that they wouldn't have the nerve or bad manners to say to people in real life. I remember being the brunt of a bully once and I told them that they were just blips on a screen and nothing they ever said could ever really touch me.

And you should probably write a book. I'd buy it and read it for sure. Mostly to find out how you survived that Cracker Barrel incident.

I thoroughly enjoy listening to a debate between saber wits and the beauty of watching it on the net is that physical charm is thrown out the window (which can factor in real life debates) and you can appreciate the pure intelligence of those involved. These are repartee that I prefer to read and not participate in. Although I'm relatively bright, I don't have the gift and it is a gift. But when it becomes cruel/blood sport, I have no heart for it in the least.

My son does have the gift and was our state's high school debate champion a few years ago.
