My truck just starts runnin good at 70. LOL Actually it will only be in the 80's out yonder in west Texas, where the only thing you might hit is a trantula, roadrunner or tubbleweed. LOL BUT, the good news is, they are now allowing the 18 wheelers to run the same speed as the 4wheelers (or 6wheelers in my case) - this will decrease the stop and go that most of us deal with, and high exceleration rates. Not to mention peoples NEED to pass semi's because they had to run 5 mPH below passenger cars even on the interstate.

We increased from 55 to 70 a few years back- BOY was I glad to see that, cause I ran 70 anyway. Still do, and most places I go are 60-65. LOL

But yes, we do need a stupid decrease and hey- Hubby works in the oil feilds and daddy might be getting pooled into a well.. so I am ALL about DRILL BABY DRILL! LOL

I generally drive 75-80 on the turnpike. Its the tailgaters - slow drivers - and trucks going up hills in the passing lane that I think are dangerous and downright annoying. Pa just passed a law "drive right, pass left" I hope they enforce it.

when i was in Germany you would get cited for driving slow in the left lane on the autobahn. When you are in a unrestricted speed zone on the autobahn, the faster traveler has the right of way.
