Heather, Jeff and I signed up for firearms safety classes. This should be fun. We aren't the target demographic for hanging at these things. The thing that has deterred us from taking this class before was that we don't want to hear any political commentary. This is led by South Carolina Law Enforcement team, so hopefully they can leave their liberal slandering at home. I just want to learn to clean a gun, shoot it and possibly get the concealed weapon permit, not that we will ever need it.
We close on the house on Thursday, if everything goes right, but it has hit some snags. The survey/tax id shows that we are missing 28% of the land listed on the MLS. Seller's again swears that MLS list approximations but 28% is NOT acceptable. It looks like that if our Realtor can't smack some sense into her, then our lawyer can. Oh yeah, the seller's agent doesn't work on weekends, so we haven't heard from her since last Thursday. This may fall through. We are ready to back out over the land not being surveyed right. The owner owns other acres near the house and we think that she wanted to cut back on our acreage, to make more when she sells the rest.
According to our Realtor, we can take her before the MLS boards, since MLS does not have a percentage amount that they deem unacceptable. They rule on a case by case basis. Hope that we do not make it that far.
