If you are actually confused, just step back and look at it logically.
1. Business-wise, Pop keeps calling Scuba "the Boss."
2. They are married, therefor Scuba is "the Boss."
3. The secondary contest seems to be a later addition, so the 'rules' for it weren't necessarily all worked out when Pop announced it.
4. When the secondary contest was announced a "battle pack" was implied by a contest to see if people liked his choice or Scuba's best.
5. A four-flavour "battle pack" would still work for two parallel two-way flavour battles.
6. Please refer to the last four words in point numbered "2."

I agree 100%--Butterfly Bait from Mom and Pop's sounds a lot better than Bianca's Mess from Mom and Pop's.
The two main points there, though, are that I don't like blueberries while most people seem to; and I don't think 'Chelle is actually going to name her flavour anything that can possibly be represented by "BM" as she seems to have a pathological reaction to those two letters in that order...
