well, I was blessed, my 2 batteries that I had charged worked from Monday night until right now-

Last night my tracking number said to expect my package today- I went to bed happy, because I knew by 12:30 i would have a new charger-

Just checked it, and they changed the date to tomorrow...

as I was loading the page I took a puff, and the light flashed on my last battery...

I think it is the charger- it is just not charging. I am wondering if
a) I should get a pass through for here at home, to save batteries
b) why I didnt order an extra charger from LF when I ordered the new kit!!


The funny thing is: I have a 510 charger (joye size) but no 510's. LOL

My sister in law has a kit that looks like a an ego/riva, but in the box was a note with specific directions that say: DO NOT interchange this charger with ego batts or these batts with an ego charger. - I dont know if that is a marketing ploy or the truth... ???

Q4, some of the ego knockoffs do the reverse polarity bit (+ on the outside of the connector, - on the center post) or other weird things, so if they explicitly state not to use them I wouldn't.

A generic 510 charger would actually likely work OK, just take a long time to charge, about 4X as long as a regular ego charger, if you can get it to attach to the battery and your batteries are standard Riva. They output lower current, typically somewhere in the 80 - 100 mA range instead of the eGo 400 mA. If you have a meter, check it to see that the charger center contact is the hot side (+4.2V, likely); if it is, should be fine to use, just put it in a safe place until you've seen it do one full charge cycle.

(If the new kit, with new charger, is coming soon, I wouldn't bother, but if not, I'd likely give it a go.)

The plain, dumb, passthrough, no inline battery, like madvapes sells, passes the USB 5V right through to the connector. To use that you want a 2A USB power supply, also about $10, such as the IQ dual 2A USB power supply sold by Walmart online (free shipping if they deliver to a local Walmart for pickup). This kind of PT also works fine in a car, just get a 2A USB car cig lighter adapter.

Dumb passthroughs really are simple, reliable -- they are just a cord, wire, tube, and switch. You can use down to 2.5 ohm cartos on them, with 3 ohm also quite nice. (below 2.5 ohms is a no-go, not enough current at 2A, but that'll be 10W of power, plenty for most people).

The other kind of device that people often call a pasthrough is the version with inline battery. These aren't really passthroughs, they are PV that just have the charger built-in. Ego 510 Passthrough 3.7 Volt

For backup, or long drives, the simple pass-through is solid, zero electronics.

Q, get an ego passthrough. That way you can take it out with no cord if you need to and plug it in back at home. They work great. There are two kinds, so be aware. They have them with the cord that can't be removed too...I suppose they're fine, but if you want to be able to take it out with no cord, well, obviously that's not going to work LOL.

About 11:30pm Tuesday night I heard a door slam out in the road It might have been a coincidence but yesterday this walked into the garag to visit dad. We can't find the owners. Called the Humane Society and they have a report, put an ad on Craigslist, took her to the vet and she is not chipped. She is really skinny and we think has had puppies but not recently. I would say she was very young when she had them because she looks as if she can't be more than a year old. She is not fixed either. She is beautiful, has perfect manners, is housebroken, and talks. Mom and Dad say if her owners don't show up in a couple of days they are gong to take her to the Humane Society. I am really torn. Do I want another dog? It is gong to take a lot of money to fix,get her tested, shots etc. . How can I just let her go with that face? Do I need another mouth to feed? She would be the perfect second dog. What about when we want to go someplace? She needs someone to love her. I have had Huskys before and they are runners. We have a big fenced in backyard. She is so cute and loveable. Aghh someone help me decide.

"IF" we keep her I think she looks like an Abigail. John wants Queen to match King.

Her eyes are opposite of Kings his right eye is blue.

We have not introduced them except through the patio doors. He is really dominate so we were going to wait until John gets home from work.

Went to my SIL's stole her 510's. what can I use on them? just atties and carts? I have carto's (fluxo's), but none that are in real great shape- they have all been used.

what about the visions? they wont do it at all will they?
