Let me start off by apologizing if I get the lingo wrong. Still trying to figure everything out. I have had a westside vapor cigalike (I believe that is what they are called) for awhile and recently purchased an eVod. I find the vape from the cigalike more satisfying than my eVod. Haven't quite figured out why yet though. same mg's and I don't think the flavors have anything to do with it. My question is whether or not anyone can suggest a device that has a similar vape to the cigalike. I hope this make sense. Thanks in advance.

The cigalike may be producing slightly warmer/hotter vapor and thus a different throat hit. Then again, some people swear by the satisfaction delivered by cigalike cartos.

Yes, you need a Variable voltage battery for the Evod tank or you need to change the coil head to 1.8 ohms.

Agreed. Try 1.8 Ohm and see the difference.
Just be sure to pull slower than what you are used to on cig or cig-a-like to be sure you don't get burned!
And to me, this is not even close! EVOD+ego is better all day all night.

The Evod has a bottom coil, and that's going to mean a cooler vape. Lots of options without a bottom coil!
Mine came with 1.8, but I don't know that all of them do. It's engraved at the bottom of each head in small numbers.
wait 2-3 second before you vape, so that the coil has time to heat up to desired vape temp and production.

I looked up a few of these starter kits at different vendors and they seem to come with 2.5 coils. I have found that I really prefer the top coil clearomizers for a warmer vape. Check with your vendor and see what coil your kit came with to be sure. If 1.8 coils doesn't solve your problem, then I suggest you try a top coil clearomizer , my preference is the Kanger T2 (long wick) and the Viva Nova. Good Luck!
I looked on my replacement coils and I cant find anything so I am not sure what they are.
I'm glad it helps! Finding this article was very enlightening for me. You have to pull on a cigarette for it to work-- it draws oxygen into the fire and smoke into your mouth & lungs. But with the Evod, I don't really draw much at all. I just hold the button, put the mouthpiece in my mouth, and let the vapor flow in while holding the button for a few seconds. This gives the coil some time to warm and I get plenty of vapor.

The slower you pull on the evod the hotter it will be. You may not be wicking well. You can pull one flavor wick out and See If that improves your experience. Cartos keep a nice moisture on the coil till they are dry. Evod you have to play with wicks sometimes depending on your juice.
If you don't have the engraved resistance my question would be does the base of the evod have kanger tech evod laser etched on to it? I haven't tried an evod clone before only the kanger tech branded ones but for my CE's I can't stand my cheap clones or even my smok CE but I love my visions CE.
