In Salford there are informal meets going on all the time - outside betting shops, outside pubs, in bus queues, outside the supermarket...don't think you'll find many cigars, though. Air-fare might be a bit steep, but hey - this is a "spend-it-before-you've got-it" kind of hobby.

It's probably worth it...there are almost no informal meets here anymore. There's one i go to every week, but it's just a few people and they all use the same e-cig-a-likes. Nothing new and daring at all. And no one there can tell me what price to put on the vintage pack of smokes that's been steeping in the glove box of my car for the past three and a half years.

I'd say that pack was beyond price.

See- that's the problem- how can i recoup my investment if i can't price it?

You might be better off selling them singly on a street corner. It is sensible to use the approved uniform and style tips for such a sales method. Wear dirty mail-order jeans with knotted hairy string as a belt. Don't bathe or shave for a while and grow your hair. Obviously don't comb it. Try to adopt an aggressive, threatening stance. You'll do just fine.

Before i forget.. there's a father's day special on the Marlboro website. Enter code"lungcancer" for 10% off your order.

ETA. you can also enter in "free voice box" (case sensitive)

There's a better coupon code on Cigarette Joes blog. Enter Iron Lung for 25% off.

Yep. Yes. You do....
Love and hugs from the Lamborghini owning montecristo smoking civet coffee truffle lover :p

How do you smoke a Montecristo?
That's a sandwich.

I read the post differently. I think she meant she owns a Lamborghini and loves Montecristo, coffee, truffles and smoking civets - which is dicey, since I believe they're endangered.

Thanks! The support and advice here is always outstanding!

um, will TSA let me on the plane if i follow your advice and come to Salford to try to sell them at the informal meets?

Yes, but make sure the cigarettes are in your carry on luggage, and you are not allowed to smoke them on the plane. If you feel the need to smoke though, go to the nearest vacant toilet and light up. Better light three at once and get a good nicotine fix because they may get suspicious if you keep going to the toilet every 30 minutes. Make sure you make clouds of smoke and turn on the hot water before you open the door so people will think it's just steam. If you hear an alarm going off it's probably just the seatbelt sign coming on and you should rush back to your seat as fast as you can. If someone asks what you were doing become belligerent and tell them that it is none of their business. If you look violent and crazy enough they will probably go away.

Has anyone noticed that all the cig advertising looks like they just copied all the e-cig stuff? Hummmph!

And it's smokER, not smokOR.

And smoke, not smok, nor smog.

Get it right, will ya?

Where can I get one of those banner things for the cig counter like y'all have at the bottom of your posts? I want to know how much money I'm losing.

Reading comprehension is a useful skill in today's world, but if you want to construe that post that way, OK, fine. I'm outta here [or not].

I saw a really cool banner, but I can't remember the vendor. It might be Alice on Oxygen, but anyway it's a lung that get smaller and smaller and smaller.

I was arrested today stealth smoking in a cinema, I followed all the advice from here, I used my smaller Romeo y Julietta cigar, I sat on the back row and I blew the smoke from each drag down my sleeve. Then after about 5 minutes a Mother with 2 small children asked me to stop, I gave her a CSAA leaflet and explained about my constitutional rights and she went away, problem solved, boy was I wrong, next thing I know 2 LEO lackeys of Big eCig and the Government appeared, I quickly reached for a CSAA fact card in my jacket pocket and the next thing I knew I had been tazered, cuffed and dragged into custody. I plan on explaining to the judge about my rights as a smoker and will be lighting up in court, the CSAA have told me that Benjamin Franklin smoked and he was a lawyer and he wrote the constitution so therefore they support my right.

Wish me luck next Tuesday, I will see you all at the smoking meet at the corner of 5th and Pulasky on Tuesday night.

I like the banner that tells you how long you have been smoking and how many batteries you have avoided recharging.
