Hey guys, I purchased my first Pro-Vari over the weekend from another user here on ECF who was local (thank you StormieFury!), and it seems there is some spots on the inside of the window. I tested the 510 connection and drip cup with computer parts cleaner to see if it was a leak letting it inside, but it doesn't, so I assume this came from the battery side by means of moisture.

Is there any way to clean this window from the inside without taking it all apart? I tried a rolled up paper towel while unscrewing the bottom window screw, but couldn't get any force behind the towel to clean it. There is a large chip from the PCB that extends almost to the inside of the unit right below the window, only allowing about a millimeter or so of clearance.

I am SUPER critical about things being in pristine condition, so it's bugging me like crazy. I don't want to completely unscrew the window, because with my luck, I'd never get it back on.

Any recommendations?

grab a small screwdriver, looks almost like an eyeglass size screwdriver but maybe a bit bigger, unscrew the 2 screws located on each side of the window...the window should pop inward I believe and you can fiddle with it and probably get a q-tip in there to clean the inside...from what I hear it is a bit tough to get the window screwed back in but it can be accomplished..

Mine are philips, and I already removed one screw to get to it, I just don't feel comfortable or confident I'll be able to get it back on from the inside.

Thanks for the pipe cleaner idea, that may actually work. Thanks!

I just don't see a good way to Align the window to get it back in. Maybe it would be easy but I was Very Nervous about taking it out.

The Pipe Cleaner worked Great for me.
