Good to know. I haven't been paying attention what I charge in what. I have a 808 charger and the echo charger. I know I've charged my 808's in the echo without any problem. I don't know what I charged my echo's in but I haven't had any problem. I was probably lucky and charged the echo's in the correct one as I've only had to charge them a couple times. I will definitely pay more attention from now on!

I tried charging my echo in a gen1 charger and it's been funny ever since. I've said it could be a coincidence and I possibly got a bad battery. Should not be too dangerous though. On the bottom of the usb charger it will say the mah. My echo charger is 150mah. It's important never to charge on a charger that has higher mah than the battery. If you have a 280 mah kr8, it should be safe. BUT> The output of my echo charger is also 5v. But my kr8 charger's output is 4.2v. Most kr8s hit their peak at 4.2v and sitting on the charger off load after it is done chargng and things could go a little kablooie.

Look in this subforum....there is a thread where Morandir did some homework charging different batteries on different chargers and measuring them afterward. Some of them sat offload on the charger which is not safe if you forget about it and leave it for a long time.

That's a vision stardust. A standard 808 to 510 adapter fits perfectly under the skirt and lets it sit flush. Works great as it can on an auto batt with an adapter. Except I really didn't care for them. There is an odd taste from the tips and I didn't figure out how to mod it until it had suffered from my various other tinkerings.

Nice link though....lol! That rocks!

FYI Mine is not a Vision Stardust. They rename theirs some sexy sounding name from the factory they purchase it from. I just kept the name the manufacturer had on it. Mine comes from a different factory. The batts appear to be the same as the Echo, but Echo makes Echo batts, and the ITurbo is NOT from Echo. They look surprisingly similar tho.

and here's the clearo close up:

Hope this helps "clear" up any confusion.

The name was just to give folks a reference point on that it was. Somewhere in this thread is a list of all the names given to this beauty. I also followed up with a post stating that these are in fact 808 threaded. I felt it was better than editing my previous post and throwing the whole thread out of wack. So my hunch was right too....that these are in fact different batteries. lol. Now I have to follow up on some posts where I said they were different and then corrected myself. Again.... I'm going to have a busy few days so I won't be able to spend much time or review these iTurbos accurately. Others will have to give their initial reviews.

And I'm also confused: My echo has a led light but you listed the echo as having a solid plate.......

the verdict is in and these iTurbos rock. 7 out of 10. Because I had to do some modding to get them from being leaky but the fix is so simple it's down right silly and all the complicated things I was trying to do before I tripped on the simple solution is just... These are the reason to buy an echo. I'm going to be up all night because I can't stop vaping this and don't have any low nic juice. :smokie:

Aren't you glad I opened up that can of worms? :D

BTW What is the simple fix to keep the iTurbo from leaking? I may have to pick some of these up for myself.

It's as simple as pulling up on the rubber condom thingie that slips over the center post and then letting the tip push it back in place as it screws back on. Seems they can get pushed down to far and cause wicking issues. Don't overcrank the tip when you put it back on. Both of them are working like a dream and I did it to my original Visions too and am now able to use them as well.

If you have sensitive buds like I do...I came up with a fix for using my own tip on these. But I seem to be the only one complaining about the taste of these tips.........

I'd have these anyway, but you did let me look at them for a bit before she got them in stock. Which is awesome! I now have my perfect steup. Kuwako->echo->iTurbo

And now there is another fat batt in town....

Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Volt MaXx Battery Passthrough - Accessories

and Imagine says there is no CUTOFF! And if there is, "I can't hit it lol"

Oh man just when I initiate the spending freeze I find this and the Iturbo clearo...... lol

Are these basically an Echo? I really like the stealth LED option.

I am confused about the passthrough and charing:

"How to Charge" = This is from their description:
Unscrew the metal tip that is on the bottom of the battery. Take your Micro USB cable that came with your Maxx Volt Battery and plug it in to a USB Port on your computer or the 1.5amp Volt Wall Adapter. Then take the mini USB end and plug it in the spot that was under the metal piece. Where the device is plugged in will glow red while charging and turn off when finished."

What is a Micro USB cable? Is that the passthrough? I don't have one so does that mean I would have to buy one?

Also I don't understand the 1.5amp wall adapter. My wall adapter doesn't say anything about amps. It reads: Input 5V DC 500 mA, Output 5V DC 150mA. Would my adapter work with the Volt fat batt or would it require buying the 1.5amp adapter? Mine works fine with my Echo 650 batt.

Not sure. They seem to be an echo essentially, sealed, without a hittable cut off as per Imagine. But SI ...... me off a while back and I'd rather order from Victoria :)

A micro USB is probably the same as the usb cord that we use for cameras (and blackberrys back in the day). Its regular USB on one side with a mini usb plug on the other (I'm assuming that plugs into the batt on the ash end somewhere)

mA=milli amps

1000 milli amps = 1 amp

so your charger has an output current of 150 mA, not enough to fire a pass through.

you're talking about charging I assume when you say it works fine with the Echo 650 batt? For charging I'm sure its fine. The harm with interchanging chargers only comes when 1) the output current (amps) is too high for the batt to handle 2) the logic of the charger/battery doesn't stop the charger from overloading the battery to a higher than safe voltage

you can pretty much avoid 1 by getting the specs straight (which you have above) and 2 by using the right charger/never leaving a batt on the charger longer than full charge

Maybe we need to expand this thread

So far it seems like the .5 ml clearos that Charlz mentioned, Gotvapes 808 fluxos, and goodprophets metal 'fat wick' ce2s are the only options for us 808 people. And now thanks to victoria the iturbos for fat batts

what if we were willing to strap on an adaptor?

My head is spinning looking through gotvapes lol. Visions, saphires, micromizers, wtc. Ah!

I use v2cigs 808 batts @ 4.2v (at full charge) with gotVapes fluxomizers @ 2.6ohm and they are pretty good. I however do like them better, with a 501 adapter on my proVari @ a true 4.7v. I did order some 2.8ohm 501 fluxomizers for my proVari, but I do like to 808's better for some reason. Clean great, even after using something like waffle or cola! Dry burn with good torch after cleaning and dont let them stay dry to long or wick will start to disassemble.
