Voltron I think skelley was referring to his favorite mod for the previous release of fluxomizers, they had three plugs, all different

do you have any standard kr808 (halo, bloog, SI) mouthpieces? Or any carto mouthpieces that are standard size? You can take a slice of the lower side, lets say one third, and use that as a flat plug for the fluxo. Just push it down and it will hug tight over the cup.

I actually do have a bunch of mouthpieces :) I'll definitely try that. Do I have to remove anything from the fluxo?

I filled up another one and will be testing it soon. Maybe the first one was a dud, we'll see...

Voltron, I remove the 'easy fill' plug and gently lift and separate (fluff) the wicks with a small dental pick, then install your new modified seal and put the easy fill seal in a baggy for something later maybe.

CloveHunter, I'm trying to break in a new supreme now, I think the problem is the "wick" material. I modified the seals, but I can tell something still isn't right. When I stop hitting it, there is a slight pause and then I can hear the coil sizzle as if the wick got dry at the coil and then it finally catches up when I stop vaping.
I have never experienced this with any other CE2 and I have at least 50 older ones sitting in front me in use atm.
Conclusion: The wick is unable to keep up. They used the wrong wicking material.

I like my CE2's edition/revision 5's & 6's, but right now my newer MiT CE3 has been rocking it all day.
It gives the best flavor for me of the clearo's

When my Phoenix's arrive tomorrow, I will disassemble one and mic it to see how it compares to my current CE3's.

I'm happy to report the second fluxo has been working just fine; no nasty plastic flavor so far :)

Perhaps it was a wicking issue, as I filled the second one and let it sit ovenight. I think I may have hit the first one too fast. I removed the plug and noticed the coil and wick were completely black, maybe the wick was burning all along:confused:

And skelley, can you post a link to your favorite CE3's (MiT)? I may want to try them out...

I got mine from Vapor Alley....Here
Now the site says "Please note, these are identical to the last ones other than the box is blank."
My boxes had the MiT hologram sticker on the box, so it looks like we will have to take their word on it I guess.

These are 510 connection, I haven't found them with 808 yet.
You could use a 801 to 510 adapter.

Thanks for the link skelley. I see they sell the adaptor for $2 there. I guess these will be the next clearos I'll purchase.

Thank you all for the mod tips. I actually did it on the second fluxo and it dramatically opened up the draw; the flavor is intense now :)

I thought it was working fine before the mod, but now it's really rocking. :vapor:

The first fluxo must have been a dud IMO, because I never got the constant melting plastic taste with the second one. Hopefully the remaining ones work just like it. I'm starting to really like these Little Fockers :D

Grats on the mod.
My first supreme was a dud also, it gave me zero flavor but tons of vapor even after several fills.
I never had this issue with any of my other edition CE2's, so I will go back to purchasing them until they get the supremes fixed.
Waiting on the mailman, it's vapemail day :p

I have been getting a but of nasty metal taste and harsh spitting on my third one of these ultimates. It's rather noisy too. So it's definitely the way they are. 2/3 have been great so far.

Exactly what I experienced after cleaning. Before cleaning it was good and wicking well. Hm, maybe something about cleaning it...

Well, still have 4 to go...

The phoenix arrived, they look almost identical to MiT's CE3 with the exception of the hole for the wick.
The hole is smaller with the naked eye, I haven't mic's it, but it can't be more than a few thousandths really.
The groove in the base seems slightly narrower and it would probably be easier to file the bottom of the post to open the hole.
I will probably use emery cloth (sandpaper) if I have any issues, but for now, the first fill up is working.
I'm gonna try and get it broke in before I have to leave for work, got called to start midnights.....ugh.

Charlz, that's the Rock&Roll sound of the CE2 vape. It's ok if you want to get up and dance to it....lol.

Ok, half way through a 2nd fill up and no issues with the first one. It's performing just like my other CE3's.
I'm using 60/40 PGVG juice.
Gotta run and finish getting ready. I got the wife some of the new colored stardust types from Hoosier's and they are working good also. Plus she likes the purple 'pink' color, it matches her pink KGO.
I also got some 3.5ml clearomizors to try, don't know about them.

Noisy like the snap, crackle, pop but also a little groany like the sound of forced air. This is obviously the reason for the popping liquid but it doesn't matter what seal I put on or how loose it is. Fluffed, unfluffed......same amount of vg in my liquid as always. Only way it doesn't cry about it is when I have no top seal on at all. Right now I even have the old inner seal from a kr8 which has no lip or beveling. I'm going to snip the wicks down a little so it's pulling less juice. I'm less than half a ml away from dry.

skelley, question for you

how far down is your connector post/atomizer cover pushed down over the atomizer assembly on the pheonix/ce3?

I just pulled mine about half way, actually a bit more. Its the closest to working flawlessly I've gotten this thing. 25 chain hits and no dry...that's a first...

My phoenix's are seated all the way down to the shoulder.
I filled 2 more and they were hard to get started (dry hits) and I had to give it a few hard primer puffs to get it going, but these other 2 are giving dry hits also.
I have a few hrs to kill, so I'm going to file the base on one and see if it improves.

I've put the supreme's up as the flavor just isn't there. I know it has something to do with the wicks as I've done just about everything imaginable to get flavor from them.

Edit: I just mic'd the bottom lip that covers the atty head. That inner lip is .009" longer on the gotvapes one vs. the MiT one. That's roughly about the thickness of 2 pieces of paper.
First try with a file, I removed the .009" difference. Filled and tried, started off ok, but then seemed to get better
I also noticed that the atty area where this lip fits is loose as the post wobbles when seated.
Gonna vape it empty and try and give it a sqeeze as the MiT one fits in very snug.
