After all, what harm can there be in buying a fake designer bag or trainers - all you're doing is denting the profits of the multinational manufacturers. But, as the first of this two-part investigation shows, it goes much deeper than that. For instance, with the counterfeit market now encompassing pharmaceutical drugs, consumers could be damaging themselves, too. Among the more eye-opening revelations is a massive seven-storey shopping mall in China selling nothing but fakes, and a peek into a backstreet factory that manufactures eggs out of industrial chemicals because it's cheaper than keeping real chickens.

I can not understand why this subject comes up soooo much on this forum..........

people are going to buy what they can afford, period. if someone has the desire to have the look of a Rolex but can't afford 10k for a real one so they buy a replica, that's their decision
if we were all millionaires this topic would never come up but let's face it there's many people here that are on a very strict budget and they have to make the best decision for themselves

then I love the threads where people want to make sure they are buying from an American company.......come on people MANY american companies outsource their manufacturing overseas
hell a lot of our "American" vehicles aren't even made here

now I don't want to sound Anti America because I certainly am not but let's face it, many products we are producing now a days are no where near the standards we had yrs ago
I have been a Master Plumber for 17yrs and have installed a lot of products and nothing lasts anymore....man way back when I was an apprentice we were replacing water heaters that were 30 yrs old.....now I can't get a heater to last 10yrs

my prized possession is my 1984 Porsche 911, she just turned 30yrs old and runs like new because it was built so well. show me a ford or Chevy that's not all rusted out after 30yrs (not gonna happen)

The only thing I wont buy made in china is somting ingestable. I dont want to vape radiator coolant becouse they ran out of pg. They are good at plastic and metal.like any thing else made here or there they could make it any where both crap and gold comes in a variety of prices. If you don't know about quality you will learn quickly and painfully.

Scott is a meanie. j/k He knows I think he's cool. There are a lot of threads about clones but it's hard to know where to post sometimes. At least for me. I still screw up constantly.

On the subject, I got screwed when I bought from China (althought I didn't KNOW I was buying from China) so I would say no to that. I don't buy clones either. I just save up for the real deal because you usually get what you pay for.

Without China ECF would not exist. Yeah they might make clones.....BUT they also make the "Original" so in a sense they are screwing themselves.

Also just about everything in your house has something that was made in China, whether that be the Complete product, or the internals of that product.

Not everyone has the money to buy a Provari or a Genuine Nemesis, and china realizes that.

Like I got the Patriot Clone for $17. What is an RDA REALLY? A piece a metal with 2 Air holes, A negative and Positive post is that really worth $70-80 to you? They have to be making atleast 700-1000% profit on them things. In my opinion selling them for $70-80 a piece is a SCAM.

Again about the Mechanical mods, what is a Mechanical Mod really? About 6" of Metal tubing with a positive and negative post, is that worth $200?

I understand they cant sell them based on what they pay for it, that would be insane, BUT jacking the price 700-1000% more than they pay for it, that's just ridiculous.

OR ELSE you are getting ripped off.
