Well, I can't recommend the vAir-T Ni200 coils for temperature control. The one I've used could be an anomaly. The taste was okay, but it ran hot and wasn't very energy efficient. It drained the batteries like crazy as compared to the factory Nickel coils in my Subtank Plus with the same settings on the same device. The vAir-T has adjustable juice flow control for wicking, but after the tank juice level got below half, I still got some slight gurgling no matter how I set the flow adjustments. I'll eventually make use of the rest of the pack, but I'm moving on to the Super Tank coils next. They've had some good reviews. We'll see if I get the same experience.
Update:
Flavor wise, the Super Tank coils, in the Morph Tank with the Atlantis configuration, smoke the competition so far...and I'm including every factory coil in any tank I've ever tried in that opinion. I haven't cranked it up yet. 20 watts is producing plenty for my preferences. I just hope it has good longevity.
Update 2 :
I can now confirm the Super Tank coils can handle 40 watts with ease, but that's a little too warm for me...not to mention that logic dictates it will drink juice and drain batteries much quicker at that setting. The benefit, of course, would be that, with the increased vapor production, one could dilute the juice and still get an equivalent flavor and nic hit. I just prefer a little cooler vape with less frequent tank fills and battery maintenance.
The Health cabin advertises these coils by saying:
"The wire is made from Kanthal A1, and the wicking material is organic cotton."
And KanVape claims that they are made with "Japanese organic cotton"
Rick Trippers, on the other hand, indicates these claims are spurious at best (beginning at about the 2 minute mark and continuing to about the 3:20 mark). However, I'm not sure an uncredentialed homological opinion from a YouTuber is an adequate determinant.

Personally, I don't care, but you can cut a screen to fit under your drip tip, if you're overly concerned about this.
The good news is that companies seem to be settling on this basic form factor for coils and focusing on improving it's performance while maintaining it's adaptability to a wide range of tanks. I think we have the popularity of the Aspire Atlantis to thank for that. Thanks, Aspire.
BTW, these coils seem to really bring out the fruity deliciousness in Bionic Vapor's Creme de la Vie juice.
