Ahoy me 'earties. We are having a damn fine weekend here, hope your's is as nice! Got a bit of rain yesterday and everything is starting to look green and it smells like spring! Gotta love it..

I dropped the sales price of the mods on the website even more just now, I would like to try to clear the decks before I am done with the new regulated mods if I can. If you know of anyone looking to try a 3.7v squonker, please pass it on.

This weekend I am working on the insides of the mods, they still need some hand tooling and cleaning up before I can edge them and start the sanding process. I have some real beauties coming out this batch. I'll probably post some pics once they are edged, sanded and get their first coat of finish.

I also think I may allow people to call 'dibs' on mods after I post pics. The feeling of anticipation can be exciting.

Another thing I am thinking for the future, is to try to set up a cheaper version of the Cruisers. I would like to get the price back low again like I originally intended. I kept getting talked into upgrades that pushed the price of them up over the years.

I am also thinking it may be time to make a Cruiser 3.7v that can handle an 26650 with a bigger bottle for squonking. I think I could also incorporate a mosfet and make it a 15 amper. I didn't get the changes done on the current Cruiser to allow high amps this time.

I can hardly believe that I'm starting my fifth year of making mods, where has the time gone..... arrrr

Have a great weekend

Dibs!!!.....:p Just kidding but I can't say that I am not excited!

Ahoy all, hope you had a nice weekend.

I personally spent the day sanding mods, taking a break now and then to let my dust collector cool down and let my muscles loosen up. Takes about an hour per mod until I'm satisfied that it's ready for some finish.

Just don't sell my 26650 Destroyer :D Seriously can't wait to see the batch Cappy

I know we agreed on a wood scheme, but I made an extra choice just so I absolutely, positively, won't disappoint you, especially after you have been waiting sooo many months to get the mod you have wanted.

One is yours, the other goes on the website ofc.

I don't think I will be making any more 26650 mods in the future except perhaps a Cruiser style.

I got 5 sanded today, think I may quite for now and hit it again tomorrow. My hands/arms are the weak link in the sanding system here at RSM, har!

Reminds me of an old joke about the Viking ships....

The first mate steps out and makes the announcement " I've got good news and bad news."

" The good news is, you are all going to get an extra ration of Rum!"......Yay!

" The bad news is, the Captain want's to go water skiing! " ...........:?:

Okey doke, I have put your name down for it and will check back with you when it is finished.

On a side note, I was sanding today and I realized I had foolishly not ordered any regulators yet, so I dropped what I was doing and shot an E-mail to Evolv. I hope it doesn't delay anything, I have about a week or so to go before they are ready for regulators.

Have a fine day all, arrr

So what was your final decision on catch cups for this batch Cappy ?

I was sorta thinking about putting my usual catch cups on all of them with the option have me grinding them flush after purchase if desired.

Either that or make half of them flush like the Cruisers were, and half of them with catch cups.

Thanks Capt'. I look forward to her when she's done which ever one it is. I just hope my Cutlass doesn't get jealous! :D
I was wondering what the sizeof the atty hole is? Is it 23mm or is it bigger? I was thinking of getting a subtank to use and it's 25mm. If it's 23mm I can still use my subtank mini and nano so no big deal.

Thanks again Capt'!!
And a toast to you too fright because if you didn't special order one then Cappy wouldn't have made two!!! :toast:

Cappy, When you get to the DNA40 Criusers, I'd like one in flush please. ( Not that I'm calling dibs or anything..)

When they have a coat of finish on them, I will post pics and then would be a great time to call dibs and I can make it a flush mounted 510.

Yeah, they are .9" / 23 mm holes with just a little extra.

ok Thanks again Capt'![/QUOTE]

Ya'know, they actually could be made bigger, but I don't know how to do that neatly when they are already bored into the body. I suppose one could go round and round inside with a little sanding drum on a dremel tool, but it wouldn't be very neat and tidy. Not to mention the hole is an inch deep.

Hmm, think I will leave that to the owner to play with, heh.
