Congratulations inthepines :vapor:

Every RSM I have seen is absolutely beautiful. The second I see a dark Mahogany one, it's mine. I truly admire your work Cappy.

Nope. Afraid not, grover868 -- the Mahogany will be mine. I'll arm wrestle you for it.

So why are there three African Mahogany Cruisers still for sale?????

Thanks everyone for the congratulations and thanks Cappy for the great little scallywag. It came in today and I immediately wrapped a 1.1 ohm micro coil in a cyclone to test it out. Its built really well and the peg leg reaper is carved in nice and deep. Its all I've been vaping the last 4 hours or so and the battery is still hitting good, which surprised me considering the size. I'll look into how to post pictures later on this week. I haven't done any of that yet...

I was going to hold out for a regulated squonker for my first purchase, but I'm really eying a couple of those cruisers on the site.
Thanks again for such a generous offering Cappy!

Speaking of Cruisers, I just now fixed the stinking website, some of the Cruisers were not being displayed! I don't know what I did wrong, but I deleted the listings that were broken and redid them.

Cruiser - 3.7v - 6ml Bottom feed

Pretty tough to sell a invisible mod, to be sure!

I put them all on sale as well. A form of self abuse I suppose .....

Today I am working on the little electronic covers that contain the regulators and such. When they are finished I can put edges on the boxes and bring them to the belt sander for final sanding. That means I should be able to give them the first coat of finish in about 2 or 3 days.

Have a fine damn piratey day all.

Word on the street is they've gotten a lot better and may finally be up to snuff now. Thing is, they'll always be a bit fussy when running nickel. Trying to do temp sensing on a 0.1 ohm coil means a few stray, unstable milliohms anywhere between the board and the coil will produce less than optimal results. "Nickel is fickle".

I have built 2 mods using the new "glitch free" DNA40's and indeed they are. Using nickel with both.

To be "glitch free", they must have been "glitched" at one point. I guess I missed something, is there a link I can follow to catch up on the dna talk by any chance?

nvm, I found one :)

Yeah, I see the whole dna topic is still a mess. The glitch is just a reference to the screen locking up on the first build.

I've also read where the clone dna40 is superior to the evolve according to some, but that topic also goes back and forth.

The discussions of the temp control of the genuine vs clone being better is still being tossed around and some recommend sticking with the dna30 until the v3 comes out. Others say the dna40 v2 fixed all the problems.

Maybe I'll just start making cuckoo clocks for a living .... arrrggg

There's zero downside to even the earliest DNA40s if you use traditional wire (without temperature sensing). In fact, it has two big advantages; voltage step-down and reverse battery protection. My understanding is glitch issues were only reported when running in temperature limiting mode using nickel coils (meaning humungous output currents).

The mod I use the most is one I built the weekend after the DNA40 was released. It works perfectly. I'm not sure whether I just got a good one or if it's because my titanium coils at ~0.25 ohms and under 20 watts don't push it hard enough to wake the glitch monster. :D

Urg.... my beautiful amazing flawless mod I broke is getting a DNA40... special wire? o.o... I can't use regular kanthal? Where do I get special wire?

It will work like a normal VW mod with Kanthal you only need "special" wire if using temp control. And that would be Nickel or Titanium.

Ahoy me 'earties. We are having a damn fine weekend here, hope your's is as nice! Got a bit of rain yesterday and everything is starting to look green and it smells like spring! Gotta love it..

I dropped the sales price of the mods on the website even more just now, I would like to try to clear the decks before I am done with the new regulated mods if I can. If you know of anyone looking to try a 3.7v squonker, please pass it on.

This weekend I am working on the insides of the mods, they still need some hand tooling and cleaning up before I can edge them and start the sanding process. I have some real beauties coming out this batch. I'll probably post some pics once they are edged, sanded and get their first coat of finish.

I also think I may allow people to call "dibs" on mods this time after I post pics. The feeling of anticipation can be exciting.

Another thing I am thinking for the future, is to try to set up a cheaper version of the Cruisers. I would like to get the price back low again like I originally intended. I kept getting talked into upgrades that pushed the price of them up over the years.

I am also thinking it may be time to make a Cruiser 3.7v that can handle an 26650 with a bigger bottle for squonking. I think I could also incorporate a mosfet and make it a 15 amper. I didn't get the changes done on the current Cruiser to allow high amps this time.

I can hardly believe that I'm starting my fifth year of making mods, where has the time gone..... arrrr

Have a great weekend
