Ahoy all!

Just the usual weekend here, but I did do a few custom desk caddies and I think I may make a couple of them available on the website for others who might like the designs requested.

This one is the large box model built for the DIY kinda person with a bunch of 30ml, 6ml and 3 ml holes along with some DP holes.

And here is one that will hold eight box mods and 10 RM2 / A7, etc sized rebuildables.

Tomorrow I get all these desk caddies shipped, then inspect the batch one more time and if they all still look good I will wax, buff, assemble the accessories kit and do the paperwork to get them ready to ship!

Hope you all had a good weekend, arrrr

is there a 50 box mod caddy version?

actually, i'm more interested in bottom-feeders. DNA or 3.7. will the upcoming batch be posted on the site or are you taking orders via PM? sorry, i'm kinda new here.

but i would be interested in a 50 count box mod caddy...

The current batch is nearly complete. There will be some bottom feeders posted on the website and I will also post pictures here on the thread of all the mods when they are complete as well.

As for a 50 box desk caddy. Sure, no problem. Do you want it just like the picture above, but 10 rows of 5 boxes each? I may have to make it in two parts or two 25 box caddies.

Ahoy and Aloha me 'earties.

Busy as hell here, got so many things to suddenly do but I will just take 'em one at a time.

I want to start waxing the mods but I'm not entirely happy with how dry they are. We got a lot of rain this past week and I might give them one more day of drying before I wax and buff them. I want the Poly-urethane to be nice and hard before I handle them. The finish gets harder and harder the longer it sets so patience is the key.

Trying to keep up with other questions & PM's, if you feel like I've forgotten you or your question please shoot me another PM, I'm getting old and forgetful, arrrr!

Have a great day all.

Ahoy, happy Tuesday!

How about a few pictures for ya.... Here are the mods that have had 'dibs' called on them. I wanted to finish these first, then I will do the rest of the batch.

I took the pictures outside, it was very bright and just had to trust the auto-focus as I couldn't see the screen well. I also noticed I had a bit of wax dust and a stray strand or two of lint from the buffing wheel I failed to clean off on some. Ah well.... here they are

Cutlass; Black walnut body, black mesquite panels and end caps

Cutlass; African mahogany with Canarywood panels and end caps

Destroyer; Solid Ziricote

Destroyer; Curly tiger maple body & panels with two yellowheart vertical layers

Destroyer; Brazilian Imbuia body with East indian rosewood panels, Jolly roger engraving

Cutlass 26650 battery; Curly redwood body & quilted maple panels

Destroyer 26650 battery; Brazilian Imbuia body, Koa side panels

I want to get these taken care of (paperwork mostly), then I will work on getting the rest of the batch ready for the website and posting pics here on the thread.

Yo ho!

we can call dibs? how does that work? :)

on a related note, do you accept us sending in blocks of wood to make a mod out of? i would be happy to send in a block or two of wood. i would pay full price (or even a surcharge for custom work), even tho i supplied the wood. and i would accept the reality that my wood may not survive the process. my risk, not yours. if this is feasible, i would like the min dimensions of wood blocks (for the 2 bottom-feeders sizes), and an idea of any kinds of wood you would not care to deal with.

and if it ain't feasible, i'll just stalk the site :)

I have done that in the past and most of the time it has worked out ok. I have received stabilized burl in the past though, that even though I made the mod it had many voids that were impossible to fill and the wood was a bit 'mushy'. It might be a good idea to post the link to the wood you were interested in so we could take a look at it b4 it was purchased.

The dimensions I would need that would cover any model would be 2 3/4 x 1 1/2 x 5. For just a 18650 model it would be 2 1/4 x 1 1/4 x 5 inches.
