So I have a question for those of you with a dna 20 RSM. What battery voltage do you normally have to change your battery at and what wattage do you vape at? I ask because I have to change mine at around 3.8 if I push it I can sometimes get to 3.7 at 13.5-14 watts with 1.0, 1.4, and 1.8 ohm builds. At first I thought it might have been my batteries so I ordered some new ones and they are all pretty much the same.Typically with the same atties and a kick 2 at 15 watts I can get down to 3.6 on my GG without much fuss with the same batts.

Thanks for any imput.

I too typically have to change out at 3.8v.with a 0.9 ohm coil. I have tried to go lower but it is easier to change out the battery. I am OK with it because actually changing out at that voltage is less wear and tear on the battery. I had another DNA 20 mod and the battery discharge was pretty much identical.

Well it's been a week with my Cruiser and I can truthfully say I'm pretty damn happy with it. The white marks have either warn off or I just haven't noticed them anymore so what was driving me to distraction, is now gone. I've even got my first skuff mark. I dropped my wallet and while picking it up my Cruiser fell out of my pocket and landed on cement. Luckily it was only about 1' distance, but it still put a scuff mark on it. Luckily it was a bottom edge.

The only weird thing that I've had happen is some random misfires with the button. I swear there are times when I press the button and nothing happens, but letting go and re-firing causes it to fire again, but I'm also experimenting with the RM2 on what's the best coil and wick setup for my style of dripping so it may have something to do with it. (Love my cyclone with AFC cap and duial coil and still wish I could use it on this Cruiser)

It's still incredibly light. I keep checking to see if I have a battery in it. (I always do).

Every time I've had trouble with intermittent firing it has been due to battery contact issues, thus the included magnet spacers.Hope this helps.

Ahh I figured those were just if it didn't fire at all with your flattop battery. Didn't even think of using them as a troubleshooting tool. I will use them for the next week and see if I notice a difference. Thanks

Ahoy all, happy Thursday.

I hopefully remembered to put 4 magnets in all the mods I've sent out, but I may have forgotten. The magnets are for flat top or shorter batteries that don't make very good contact. I've been sending magnets since the first days of RSM due to battery variations in height.

Well, I have another small batch of Cruisers done, made out of Mahogany. They are probably going to go up on E-Pay soon just to generate some more income, hope they sell.

Not a word more out of Evolv nor have any DNA regulators hit my mailbox for initial testing. I was supposed to get a couple for testing and a batch order was to follow... nothing yet.

Desk caddy sales were 4 for the entire month, ouch.... sales simply crashed this month, must be the summer slow down already.

I have a new style of Combo caddy I am making right now that's to go up on E-Pay as well. I'm going to make a half dozen or more of them before I list them so there is no waiting time when they are ordered. Dong what I can to keep up with the bills while the next batch collects dust. I can't start them until I know what I am using for regulators.

Hurry up and wait! arrrrrrrrrr

Ahoy!

Welcome to the new Redskymods thread.

Our website - RedSkyMods.com

As I begin my 4th year of production, it's also time to re-start our thread here on ECF.

I am pleased to be able to offer what I think are some of the finest exotic wood PV's and desk caddies available and also do my part in helping people kick the cigarette habit and offer an infinitely better alternative.

RSM mods are not for everyone, but, if you love exotic woods carefully crafted into exquisite hand held mods, beautiful both inside and out, then they may be for you. Read on!

I offer the finest PV's that will last for years of use and do that by ensuring you purchase not only a gorgeous mod, but a safe and reliable mod as well.

Our PV models are under constant evolution and incorporate the best that the e-cig world has to offer. I do not, however, instantly jump on the latest fad or feature until it has proven itself on the market and is a fitting match for RSM mods.

Every month or two I release our latest creations for sale on our website. The loyal crew here on the ECF thread get a heads up on our daily activities and usually get the first pick of newly released mods.

I have also offered desk caddies for the last couple years and also try to adapt to the changing market and offer stands and holders that compliment your PV collection and are as beautiful as they are functional.

Enough! Let's take a look!

(Click on any thumbnail picture for a larger view)

RSM currently offers 4 models to fit most needs.

Cruiser; 3.7 volt, 6 ml bottom feeder. Single 18650 battery.

Marauder; 3.7 volt, 23.5 mm inset tank mod. Single 18650 battery.

Cutlass; Variable watt using the DNA20 regulator, 6 amps, 6 ml bottom feeder. OLED display. Single 18650 battery.

Destroyer; Variable watt using the DNA20 regulator, 6 amps, 23mm inset tank mod, OLED display. Single 18650 battery.

For desk caddies, we basically offer small, medium and large holders of various styles.

Here are thumbnails of just a few of the many desk caddies offered - Website-Desk Caddies

See what other people think of RSM mods. Here is a link to our new website PV review page. Hopefully more people will find time to give us a review!

Always remember to not over-tighted your atomizer or tank. Tighten just enough to feel resistance and maybe a bit more. This will prevent premature failure of your atomizer connector seal and save you the cost of a repair.

Ahoy!

Well, the end of yet another week and nearly the end of May. Where does the time go?

Desk caddies as usual this weekend, I'm happy I have a couple ordered.

Still no answer back about the regulators, I'm still in limbo.

I put a 26650 Marauder on the website and am working on a handful of desk caddies for ebay.

Lets see, what else is new... hmmm..

For those of you who have my desk caddies and others who have looked at them on the website, I've been searching and searching for a long time for a nice brass standoff/peg or something to use instead of the wooden spindles I currently use. I just need a 1 1/2 or 2 inch brass peg/standoff/spindle/spacer about 1/4" or 7 - 8 mm in diameter. I've looked many times and keep striking out. Kind of like a shelf peg but much longer.

If anyone has any info on something like this post the link and I will take a look. I've wanted to make desk caddies in woods like Black walnut but my pegs won't match. If I had a brass peg then it would match anything and look awesome too. I've found some brass tubes that might work but they don't look all that nice. I bet I've been looking on and off for 2 bloody years. Yarr!

I managed to grab the last piece of usable Cherry wood from my local supplier to get this weekends desk caddies made and enough for next weekend too I think. One reason I'm thinking about the brass pegs again is if I am forced to change the desk caddy wood to something available.

Anyhow, have a great weekend all. Be safe!

arrrr
