Hmm, I would have to buy the means to cut them into 2" pieces. I don't have any metal working tools in the shop like a cutoff saw for metal. I would also have to hand bevel the edges so they would fit into the slots without binding. Nice if I could find some already made like that to make my life easier and keep costs down.

I will make a note of these though in case I can't find anything easier to work with. Thanks!

Just received my 10 box mod caddy. How did I ever get along without it? The craftsmanship, attention to detail and layout is superb.

Thanks Cappy salute.jpg

hello everyone!!!

i am still using my RSM daily and as my primary vape.

recently, i noticed it is coming apart at the seem. the top piece of wood that the 510 goes though has been pulling away and rotating.
and idea on an easy fix?
pics would make this easier, but its not an option until late tonight when im home

Yeah, pictures would help but if the separation is minor what I would probably try first if I had it in my hands would be to see if I could get enough separation to take a toothpick with a small drop of superglue on the tip and smear it between the pieces. Do it several times until as much of the broken area is coated as possible then squish it back together as near to the original position as possible.

Then take a half dozen rubber bands and compress it for a few hours.

Also quickly wipe off any excess glue that squishes out with a damp paper towel.

Ahoy me 'earties, Friday is done! Hope you all do something fun this weekend as the summer is gonna go by faster than you think!

I worked on making some more of the desk caddies I am gonna put up on e-pay, hopefully soon. I need to generate some income somehow and I'm thinking I should put some Cruisers and caddies up on e-bay and cross me fingers, arrr

I'm also waiting on more info on regulators from China and some quotes. If I can't get what I need one way, I'll get them another, as once I start this batch I am locked in on what kind of regulators I can install.

There are other regulator options, but for one reason or another (price being a big one) I am going to try to stay with what I am using, even if it has to be the 30 watt variety. I'm not thrilled with 30 watts, but it is what it is and I will just make the wiring more robust and whatever else needs to be done to make sure they are RSM Tough! heh....

Anyway, have a great weekend all. I plan on yet another BBQ, woot! I've been having about 3 per week since the Commodore got a new one for Mothers Day from our sons. Bring on 'da burgerrrrs.

Later

i'm guessing e-pay = ebay rather than redskymods.com???

i'd kill for a cruiser with wood like the 4th one in Mr. T's pic :
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...vs-desk-caddies-part-3-a-33.html#post13138922

and i'd consider maiming myself for one that looks like the second or third...

i already have an RSM DNA20, and would like to pick up a BF cruiser in this wood or even something similar but at least as random-looking.

The Cruisers I have up on the website and the ones destined for E-Bay are not fancy, and the price reflects it. I made them for the people who were probably looking for their first or second BF to add to their fleet.

I have a handful of exotic Cruisers in this upcoming batch. As for wood, your gonna see Koa's, ebonies, stabilized burls, bloodwood, ziricote, bocote, cocobolo ... arrr, too many to remember. For the most part I am just going to do traditional designs, the wood is awesome enough without me grinding pictures into it, heh.

but but but pictures give it that personal touch.

As for boards I hope something breaks through quick for you.

As for the weekend hoping it is much less interesting then the past couple days have been. Rainy all day on and off the past 3 days. Wednesday night we had a tornado/ and baseball sized hail warning. Ended up having to go to my roommate's work to get into the basement since we don't have one. Next night was Thunderstorm warnings with tornado and hail warning in surrounding counties (lightning show was kinda cool but some hit within a block of our place.) Then today was light drizzle all day. At least it isn't hot out lol.

Please use as little chineseium in your mods as possible. I urge you to stick with DNAs; they're made by an American company, they're proven, some of your prospective customers already have spares in stock, etc. The recommended 20 gauge wire is not going to melt at the 10-12 amps or so that a DNA-30 will pull, and if you're worried, you could use silicone or teflon insulated wire.
