Howdy all...

How about these batteries?

Panasonic 3400mah 18650 battery NCR18650B rechargeable 3.7V

I like the 3400 mah rating.... but just was wondering if these would be fine to use in my Cutlass DNA20 mod.

Edit: EEK...never mind. I see that its max continuous discharge rate is 6.8 Amps and pulse is 12 Amps.... not good enough. Will stick with the 2900 mah with max cont of 10 Amps to be safe.

I don't think they're suitable. A DNA-20 can easily pull 7 amps from a battery and these are rated 6.8 amps. That's just too close; no "engineering safety margin".

Yep saw that just after I posted.

So it was suggested the Panasonic 2900 mah were good. But I also see the Purple Efest 2500 mah are rated well.

So what do you all think is the best battery that will give the longest life while using a 1.0 - 1.3 ohm coil, at 13 Watts (3.7 v) ?

HRH uses coils in that range and nothing sub-Ohm, unless i make them wrong (!?) and her choice of batteries are AW 1600mAh 18650s or Orbtronic PD2900s, which are the rebadged Panasonics.

They are rated for 10A constant and 18A burst if i recall and in her mechanical Cruisers they last all day. Good batteries if you are not into the AW 'is it real?' lottery.

Oooo, glad I picked up that Cruiser in mahogany this afternoon then :D

Looking forward to adding a Cutlass to my collection when the next batch is done.

You are going to love that wood ... it's super light, with a very touchable texture. I've got wood mods with cocobolo, purpleheart, bloodwood, birdseye maple, bocote, bubinga & lacewood, rhodesian ebony and stabilized and dyed maple, and Cappy's African Mahogany can hold it's own with any of them. I'm glad I got one too (but I got the 26650 size)!

I was given a Efest 35A 2500mah battery and use it in the Cutlass DNA20 with excellent results (vape time etc.)

Hi Cap't. I'm new to the ECF forum but have been vaping for 10 months now and have been rebuilding for 6 months or so. I really like the look of your mods and I'm very interested in a Cutlass or Destroyer or Both! I know from reading your thread that you work alone and that your Mods are extremly hard to come by because of your following. I guess I can only hope to get a hold of one of your mods!!! I check your web site many times a day in hopes that there wll be a model available. Keep up the beautiful work!

Ahoy everyone, happy Thor's day!

Trying to get work done inbetween the thunderstorms. Lost power for a moment this morning after lightening hit close. I am so gun shy about using the CNC and having that happen that sometimes I don't get much work done during my day. Ah well, better safe than sorry I guess.

I am currently working on a large-ish batch and am roughly estimating about 3 - 4 weeks before they are done. I'll start posting pictures when they are nearly finished and that is when some of the thread regulars start calling 'dibs' on mods. It's kind of a pain for me as I have to send invoices and such instead of the automated website billing functions, but it's a benefit I have always given my shipmates who follow the thread.

Have a great day all, Arrrrr!

I've been super happy with my cruiser and can't wait to get a regulated box from you, Cappy!

I have a (somewhat-unrelated) question: I have a wooden pipe mod that has a loose 510 thread and the shop that sold it to me isn't willing to do anything about it. So my question is what kind of glue/epoxy do you use to secure your 510 to the box?

In your case, what I would probably do is screw in a atty to the connector and see if I could pull it out a little bit, then a very, very small dab of superglue around the base and push it back inside again. Superglue is thin so should get down inside the connector pretty well.

Let me know how it goes.

Ahoy again all!

As many know, we lost our 3 year old Collie "Buddy" a couple weeks ago. Well, there was no stopping the Commodore and she searched and found a new addition/replacement to the family.

Here is the rough collie puppy with (yet) no name ....

Good grief, she raided her 401K to get him... sigh... whatever it takes to make her happy again I suppose...

Arrrrr ?

Sydney is the most recent addition to our family:

She was "rescued" from a feral colony when she was about 6 weeks old. She's a bit timid at times. She shares quarters with three other cats and a chocolate Lab.

This is peaches nicknamed "b i t c h kitty" She is 14. Rescued her from an abusing home when she was about 2 months. We love her. Even during her "off" times lol

Here we have Samson. This is my boy, my protector and my companion. His Sister Delilah is also a gem but she took on my hubby as her human. She is still insanely protective of me though when he is away.

This would be Lilah ( Delilah)

This is Mango who is constantly on my lap :)

And finally, even though he does not live with us now, this is Ruger, my daughters kitty that she scooped up at a shelter. ( she has her own place now) whooooo lol
