I do want to mention something to everyone on these new 510s that are available. Due to keeping the design very different from another manufacturer, there are thread size differences. So the shell threading is finer and the 6-32 screw we were using is 3.5mm now. So if they were soldered on the original mod, then they will have to be soldered to the new. Just wanted to be upfront with folks who have a GDNA or Peko. So if it wasn't soldered, no problem, just add a 6mm ID x 1.6mm CS oring or a 1mm spacer to account for the 2mm flange recess for the old 510 versus the 1mm top flange thickness on the new 510 recess. Happy to answer any questions to help folks out.
No, since Gdeal was booted from the forum and I was made to become a vendor (in order to stay on ecf), there is no support for anything unless I sold it to you. Sorry, but as a vendor I am cut off from any of the modding threads. Though my suggestion is to use one 0.5 mm spacer directly under the top flange, then a 1mm thick by 6mm inside diameter (making 8mm outside diameter) O-ring under it. Press the 510 shell assembly though the top of the mod, along with the negative terminal coming from the switch, and screw the brass holding nut on to tighten the 510 terminal. Then for a Peko, unless you are soldering on stranded wire for the center pin, I suggest using the manual adjust insulator. The spring loaded isn't going to work well with a fixed terminal on the center pin as it won't allow it to move freely enough.first let me say, *sigh* i feel like a real dummy here.
i went to the old link i had for the peko build doc, but it has not been updated with this new 510. flange recess? what is that?
i don't understand exactly where that spacer is supposed to go. is there a closeup picture or diagram of it on a peko somewhere?
