Hey Marcus, have you considered a design with the dna 20 from evolv? There's a guy doing relatively simple wood box mods here on ecf using the dna20...no bottom feed, no catch cup, no nothing...and he can't keep them in stock for more than a half hour. The dna20 would even satisfy your european vapers who like to hit it ridiculously hard, since it goes to 20 watts.

single 18650, small display screen...you could turn it into a bottom feeder and apply your superior woodworking skills and wood choices....just a thought

Hi guys, I am already working on new bottom fed VV's right now using DNA 20D's and so far they are working great and I am just ironing out a couple small placement issues with the buttons so I can keep the size of my VV's the same. Our aluminum boxes are taking a little longer than expected and the main problem is I have to have the design perfect before I let them out so For the most part they still look exactly like my pictures but the inside design was changed just a little.

Hi Marcus..any pics of the dna20 mod? Where will the display show, and I am assuming they use the single battery? It will be nice to change power without the little screwdriver.

and most importantly..lol...do you need testers??

I only have one completed that was just for my own testing purposes so it is nothing like what the completed one will look like. Yes they will use a single 18650 and as of right now I am leaning towards having the display inside the box between the bottle and the battery but I am also thinking about having it show on the outside of the box. The hardest part of all this for me is keeping the boxes small as possible. I will have pics within the week and you guys can help make the call on the display on the inside or the outside.

looking forward to seeing the pics...seems like almost everything anymore has displays and adjustment buttons on the outside...just sayin'..people like looking at those little numbers I think. I'm assuming you've seen the other vendor's box I referred to? I will PM you if you haven't...and even want to..lol. Thanks Marcus..nice to see you are still up and at 'em..J

Honestly I have no idea what other mods are out there. I think its great to have other vendors out there though because I think it's great to give everyone more options to choose from. We are finishing up expanding our shop now so we can fit more machinery so we have one side for wood and the other for strictly metal which is going to be great. We also hired some more people to try and help keep up with the demand so things have been pretty hectic and busy but that's how I like it.

I ordered a mini recently...waiting patiently :). I vote for leaving the display inside. An outside display is appropriate for a metal mod but not a wood one imho. Speaking of metal, where can I see a pic of the aluminum model you're working on. Have you considered aluminum with replaceable wood side panels :D? That would look sweet!

edit: I found the pic of the aluminum...Is the switch going to be mechanical?

How long does it usually take to arrive?

Custom boxes where you pick your wood usually are built and shipped and at your door in about 15 days. Premade should be less than a week. Being in the UK would certainly slow things down a little bit but you should be able to get an idea from the USA delivery times here.

I placed a custom order for a mini BF 11 days ago and have not received a shipping notice yet so the custom orders take a little bit but for their price of a custom wood mod, the wait will definitely be worth it.

update: just received shipping notice lol :D
