I think maybe it was user error with the switch because it worked just fine last night. Maybe my atty wasn't seated right or something.

You should definitely never get any misfire due to the switch so if you suspect the switch please just email me through our site and I will get it taken care of.

The finish he uses does have a strong odor for a while. I talked with Marcus about my new one and he said it had been sitting on the shelf for a month before being posted for sale. So most likely around 6 weeks since finished and it still had a strong newly lacquered smell to it when it arrived. Luckily it does go away though.

Odd about the misfires. Have never had a misfire on any of my Boggers but any electrical connection can fail. I believe Marcus is out of town for a couple of days so be patient awaiting a reply. Should be back Thursday if not sooner.

The only reason there is an odor of lacquer is because the last step before we ship the boxes out is to put brush a light coat over the wire that runs up from the negative contact just to finish off the inside of the box and to help protect it. Generally the odor should be gone in a day or so and honestly I think I am so used to the smell of lacquer that I really don't notice it anymore so I can fully understand it smelling a bit strong.

Whatever finish mine had on it was definitely not cured because it still had a very strong odor...had to air it out outside for a couple days. It is a different finish than the first one I bought. I actually like it more because it's not ultra shinny and I can feel the wood instead of a clear coat. Expect a pm Rob, I want to refinish both of mine like you did :).
Although I need to hit Marcus up first because the switch on my new one is getting WAY to many misfires.

Pretty much the same description as the post above, The main reason why it takes 3-4 weeks to get a box done is because of the dry times involved. It also depends on the wood because a tight grain wood takes lacquer much better than the longer grain woods like wenge so most of the time there are between 9 and 14 coats of lacquer on every box and between every third coat we have to lightly sand and then continue with more coats. In the end the lacquer has to be fully cured and rock hard before we can do the final sand and then polish it. I know I have said it in the past but over time from junk on your hands or just everyday use all you have to do it use 0000 steel wool and lightly sand the whole box and then use just about any wax and then rub it back to a good polish.

To answer your question about delivery, I placed an order April 26th. Marcus has not responded to me, and I have received no word from him about my order. I also ordered one that was stabilized.

I ordered two dna 20 mods on the 28th of April... yeah two, one Bottom-Feed & one Non B-F, anyway it said four weeks to completion and I automatically added 4 days for the Holiday weekend. I figure I should receive mine the 6th or 7th of June, the 10th at the latest... I'd rather wait longer and have it finished perfectly.

Folks, once you get one of these beauties in your hand, you'll realize that even 6 months would not have too long to wait. There is no finer mod maker on the planet than Marcus. I don't know how he ever lets them go once they're made!

Marcus, I totally getcha regarding the 306 love..happy to hear you are somewhat caught up..I know how overwhelming stuff can be from time to time...

Just under the display are two small tactile switches that adjust the wattage up or down so there is no screw driver needed. It is very easy to adjust it and find your sweet spot. I always vaped at around 6 volts but with my DNA20 box it has reopened my whole world to lower voltage/wattage vaping and I have now found out I love 306 atty's again. I personally have grown to love the DNA20D because the range is so great from the low end to the high end of voltage/wattage.

On the site is a PDF of the chip. It contains detailed information about changing from VV to VW mode, adjusting the voltage/wattage, etc. I have both read and downloaded the PDF. It is very good and I appreciate Marcus for including it. I do have one question.... You said you use lower voltage/wattage again. What do you find is your favorite wattage?

just to be clear (unless I misunderstand the dna20), the dna20 is VW only, not VW and VV...although the effect is basically the same..i.e. changing voltage resulting in a desired wattage, one can only set wattage with the dna20..just filling in a different part of ohm's law. The advantage of setting wattage is that the desired voltage will automagically be applied to any resistance you throw on to give you your desired wattage.

Personally, depending on the particular juice, I vape from around 9 or 10 watts. Folks building sub ohm coils on their RBA's (and Europeans..haha) seem to go big on super high wattages.

I change it some but I found I like a 2.5 ohm 306 at around 11 watts but it really depends on the juice so sometimes I vape at 8-9 watts. If I use a 1.5 ohm atty I like it right at 9 watts.

I only say voltage and wattage because like you said you cant affect one without the other but yes the only true adjustment on the DNA20D is wattage.

Great Photo Kabonk! I can't wait to try out a DNA20 version. I have said it before and will again I am sure, but I just love my Bogger Boxes.

Marcus, you always do such a great job of bringing out the best in a piece of wood.

Thanks for the kind words, I sure appreciate it.

here I don't know if that helps you at all, I can almost rap my middle finger and thumb around it I have meduim-ish hands
slightly taller then a provari in 18490 mode, a little bit thicker than a reo VVG and a hair wider. it might be kind of clunky to lung around with if you're a guy I guess it would fit in a front pocket but lucky I can throw it ( set it gently) in my purse and take it every where I go :)

OK day 3 and I really really really like this PV it hasn't left my hand much. I'm getting 9-12 hours of battery life at 2ohms on my ERA @ 9 watts depending on which battery I'm using AW, efest or generic IMR I think I'll try a Panasonic next. I've been packing it in coffee beans overnight and the lacquer smell is almost gone I think one more night should do it.

Kabonk,
As I've already stated, your device is simply beautiful!:toast: It appears that it is everything that you expected and maybe even more. I'm waiting on mine with bated breath; it just can't get here soon enough! Okay, question- Could I use these batteries for my VW bott. feeder? Here's the link:https://www.fasttech.com/products/1141101
I'm unclear about the batts as far as being flat top or button top,but these batts do have the length I think it needs to be???
If these won't work, any suggestions as to where a good place would be to get what I do need?
Thanks

I'll chime in here on this one as I just recently did a lot of research on those exact batteries. That is a very, very good battery for use with VW, especially under high load such as with a very low ohm coil. High quality and performance almost identical to the AW IMR 2000mah 18650 but will last just a little longer than the AW will as long as the DNA20d has the same 3.3v cutout that the Kick does.
