Morning Tipsters, How is everyone? I am having lots of tests getting ready for surgery. The Dragon Warrior is going to have to dust off her outfit and get ready to throw the flame again. Not looking looking forward to this one.
On a brighter side Meredith is wonderful and we are always having lots of cuddles and laughter. She is certainly my reason to get up in the morning.
Hope everyone is well, I have to start reading to catch up.

I'm having some really nice hard/exotic wood stands made soon. Right now we are in the planning stage and I'm wondering if anyone has requests for:

Wood type
Shape
Capacity
Or if there's anything else you would like to see such as holes for mods, etc...

The guy I am having make these is a local woodworker and does top quality work! Please let me know!

Holes for Mods would be nice. Like something to hold 3 box mods, 3 tube mods, 2 or 3 tanks and lots of Trippys. Mmmm I'll see if I can draw something out on graph paper and send it to ya this weekend.

Hi all. Hope y'all are having a great week!
Well, I'm done with classes! Have to give finals next week. Then I'm off for 3 weeks!
To celebrate, I'm baking something you Harry Potter fans should be familiar with: Treacle tart. Never made it before as I had to track down the main ingredient: golden syrup. I found it on Amazon and ordered some. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Love treacle anything. High end grocery stores carry it. I use it instead of corn syrup in pecan pie recipes.

You should do a shofly pie and a Banofee pie next. Kinda in the same class as a treacle pie.

Wow! I just had a slice. Very rich. It's got the texture of a pumpkin pie, kinda. I can see why people recommend serving with ice cream or cream anglaise.
I've had shoo-fly pie before. My grandmother used to make it, except she used dark corn syrup instead of molasses. Or maybe she used cane syrup, I can't really remember. I've never heard of the Banofee pie, however.

Nice! That's quite similar to a Mexican product: dulce de leche. I'll have to give it a try. I'm going to swing by Whole Foods tomorrow and see if they carry Lyles Golden Syrup. If so, that makes things much easier. I can't wait to try it on pancakes or even better, buttermilk biscuits (growing up, my granny would make biscuits in the morning and we'd use our pinky finger to poke a hole in the end of one and fill it with honey or cane syrup for breakfast). That along with bacon was probably the favorite breakfast of my sister and I.

Not sure if I am in the market, but if I were... Something a little more space saving is what I would be after. A trippy tower or tree . Something that can sit on the desk, hold 30+, not have a 12" footprint, and display nicely.

I was going to use this for a while and drill some holes. Center is hollow and it holds a <24mm mod nicely but passed the 25+ trippies on the bench and it is too small.
