I've used mine quite a bit over the last 3 weeks not had any spitback at all. I did with the 3.1 as well as leakage. No leakage either with the Drifter. I wasn't expecting to like the Drifter based on my experience with the 3.1 but I have to say it is one of my favorite atties right now. I am liking the Drifter for duals & the Stumpy for a Z coil.

the first firmware would give a low battery flash if it dipped into the low voltage cutoff range for even a fraction of a second on the preheat. a surge like this isn't really indicative of a low battery condition though. this firmware along with lowering the low voltage cutoff trigger point to 2.8V will make it a whole different animal. the 2.8V is just what the low battery flash will trigger at, batteries will still come off the mod at well over 3V though so it doesn't mean you are taking the batteries standing voltage to that low

Anyone got any advice on a single coil build for the Maker? Perhaps there's a thread somewhere but I haven't managed to find it. Thanks in advance and sorry if this is not the right place to ask. (Although it has been BF'd by the main man!)
You just run the coil between the posts, like this
Thanks. I tried that but it seemed a bit "lacklustre". Maybe I just need to mess with the height a bit to improve the airflow to the coil?
That IS a parallel coil in the pic too. You might want to try that. The height of the coil placement does affect the performance very much tho
Not tried it with a parallel, does that make a big difference? I'll give it a go anyway. I prefer a cooler denser vape to a warm one. Not too bothered about flavour as I just use nic base.
It's like running a dual coil in single coil form. I think I actually prefer it to actual duals lol

I'm looking at it from my phone. They try too hard to make the pic artistic that it's too dark to make out anything. And it does seem that anything coming out of the Philippines is way too high. All the atties I really love were all under $100, except the Stumpy.
