So I've found that if you charge via the USB port, your battery display can get wildly inaccurate (to the point where it'll read a 30% charged battery as charge complete)

This pretty much describes what I experienced and why.

From now on I'm just charging out of the box. Maybe use the USB while driving. And that's more for safety than anything. Not ready to trust this thing plugged in and unattended.

I got some wraps off ebay for 10$. Red wrap for the black mini and blue for the silver. Seem to be of good quality and should protect the finish a bit.

My GearBest order for a silver CM just landed in the states, using the free shipping method.. Placed order on the 6th of Jan. Not bad, plus I get to see the progress.. Only issue now is US customs and it requires a signature. I am guessing usps picks it up after customs (went post.nl)

I found a serious flaw with the mini, it's too damn small. I lost mine last weekend, after only having it for a few days. A new one ordered from fasttech, estimated shipping date February 16 :-(

bummer they didnt keep the original actuators. ive already gutted mine and installed new switches and kept the old actuators, just waiting on my dna40's. want mine to stay as true to the original box as possible.

Found a video of the finished mod. The buttons are backwards (up is down, and down is up) and the screen is a little crooked but well done.



jmarkus - How did you keep the switches? They press a switch on a logic board.

Using it for 24 hrs now, the delay isn't as intrusive as I thought it'd be but still annoying.
