Why is no escrow a non starter? I don't mind sending you payment, and then you paying before delivery. Do you suspect that l-rider will stiff us?
Salemgold is correct!
I understand your excitement Keys, but it's not a good idea to send ANY company, that you or I have never done business, a large sum of unsecured funds. And especially not to a company overseas! Cuz that entity could quite literally take the money and RUN and we'd have absolutely no leverage to get it back.
OR, if L-Rider sent all defective products, we're SOL.
It's not like I can call the local Police department and report fraud & theft, cuz I'm not a Chinese citizen and/or I don't live in China.
The risk factor is in the "insane" area. Like playing Russian roulette with 5 hollow-points in a 6 round chamber and standing in the middle of a mine field!!
Cuz even if we were lucky enough to get the goods, somebody's gonna get dud, if not many!?
Their refusal to accept secured funds tells me several things.
1. They're not confident in their manufacturing/staff/product to warrant a product inspection period (as is with Escrow) prior to receiving payment.
2. They won't accept Paypal, which is a reverse secured funds system. Paypal requires a seller to give access to their bank account and credit card information to protect customers from fraud and/or defective products, and in the event of a customer return or partial/full refund. Paypal also freezes the seller's Paypal account from making further transactions until the complaint is resolved.
3. They're using their suppliers and wholesalers (one's that do accept secured funds) to absorb their manufacturing defects and their potentials losses.
Now, I'm not a professional negotiator by trade, but I've had enough experience in negotiations to know when to walk away when I have suspicion of deception. And right now, L-Rider just hasn't given me enough information to feel even a little bit confident or secure for sending them an unsecured wire transfer, as the CEO wouldn't even give me a reason for Escrow refusal....that's not good. Denial of Paypal is understandable for many reasons, mainly the seller having to absorb the fees. But refusing Escrow, where we would absorb the fees, is a red-flag of deception....somewhere?
I could be wrong, but I doubt it.
