I am pretty sure that all of China is on holiday right now until January 31 so I would not think much would happen before then. I could be wrong. I have been before. Once lol

ETA- I will also volunteer to help, if needed.

Yep, pretty soon.

1/23/12 is Chinese New Year!

Where's a pic of what this thing looks like (I've only seen the UK vid of the new version)?

Also... what post # had pricing... I hear $30 being bantered about but can't find that post?

This will give you an idea of the look of the Lava Tube. lt01.jpg
Pricing has not been finalized as of yet but we'd like to see a $20 to $30 price point per unit. Batteries, I believe, are in the $2.50 each range.

Well boy howdy then put me down for 2 of 'em at a minimum. I've got some 18650s but at that price I'd take two more bats also (assuming protected Trustfires, Ultrafires, Sanyos, Tenergys, etc)... or does the booster circuit require IMRs?

I copied this from Volcano's website.

We strongly suggest that you use the Flat nosed IMR High Drain 18650 Lithium Ion Batteries that we sell but feel free to use any compliant, flat nosed 18650 battery you may already have. Also, any 510 threaded atomizer may be used as well. We strongly recommend an atomizer with a 3.0 ohm resistance or greater

So now I am wondering if the DCs (2.0 ohm) are going to work on this OK? Does anyone know?

Only flat top I have is an 18500. Sounds like we need to belly up for some flat top IMRs. Thanx much for the answers.
