Coffee flavor?

Well ... my initial extraction was, in my opinion, not completely successful. The extract smells wonderful, but in mixing it, I started at 5% in PG and worked my way up to about 20% before I even began tasting it. For curiosity sake, I tried dripping the extract straight and it is great, though dark colored and will probably gunk up my atty.

Am I missing something here? What do I need to add to enhance the flavor? This is pretty weak extract!!

I have another vial mixed up and, this time, I will let it sit until New Year's Day before I filter it, to see if this helps.

I use mine pretty much straight as my pg mix...it's not strong enough for me to use as a drop by drop flavoring either, and I can't IMAGINE it being any stronger! It suuuuure is tasty though

I use 25% in my mixes. I extracted my last batch straight into 36mg VG and mixed from there

just have a suggestion...let the concentrate age... it will get alot stronger..

Went to the grocery today and found the millstone little pack! bought 1 of each! Extracting some hazelnut cream right now can't wait! Thinking of mixing it with a couple drop of Brandy flavor, it's Christmas after all!

Sounds yummy!! But instead of brandy flavor, how about 5-10% napoleon brandy??

I made some extract last night from some Starbucks Kona. Pretty bold stuff in it's own right. But I like my coffee strong.
Anyway, after making the extract, I started fooling with a test batch. I have some older stainless CE2s that I no longer vape with, but I use for testing flavors. I believe I settled in with this:
9% coffee extract
4% bavarian creme
4% caramel
70/30 PG/VG

Might have to tweak it a little more; but this was pretty good.

We got a Keurig coffee machine for Christmas, has a bunch of refills in different flavors. You could use a syringe and inject PG into one and let it sit a couple of weeks ???? Hmmmmm ... Wonder if my wife will notice a few missing? Ho ho ho!!!

I would think it would get really strong, that would be great- using less flavoring is so much easier on the cartos, IMO. If you try it, let us all know!

You'd probably have to fill it, wait a while then fill it again. Those things have little coffee filters in them with a void in the bottom of the cup.

Wow, what a totally awesome thread. I just started vaping a couple weeks ago & just today got some DIY supplies.

Needless to say, I just started a batch of this extract with Hazelnut Vanilla Coffee. Mmmm I can't wait to try this out. If it tastes 1/2 as good as it smells it'll be to die for.

i find after i make it and strain it etc.. that if i let it sit for a week or so, the coffee flavor gets stronger

you could use the pg found at the cake department or you could go to your local tractor supply and buy a gallon of it for $20

I've never seen PG in the bakery departments only VG. PG is harder to find and few stores carry it. Some pharmacies will order it for you but many have no idea what you're talking about. LOL Like bams said, tractor supply or you can try some large feed stores if you have any in your area. Just make sure it has the USP emblem on it.

About a week ago I made some coffee extract from some Starbucks Sumatra. I hadn't done much with it yet. I was vaping some Vanilla Bean Ice Cream 12% that I had mixed, and decided to add a couple drops of the coffee into a Vision Extreme Mini I was using for the VBIC, just to see what it tasted like. 2 drops, and it was absolutely delicious.

I've made some great extractions, tpa coffee clear...one try was enough for me...almost turned me off to vaping completely (I threw it away).
