Both are nice units, but only the coil master lets you build and burn in coils, that's the $20 difference in price. I'm planning to get the coil master 521 over the Geekvape.
Uh... no... the Geekvape 521 allows for build 'n' burn, too. The difference is in the accessories which most folks never use. I have used, but do not yet own the Geekvape 521 Tab, and, honestly, the only con I have... it's s bit of a fingerprint magnet.

I'm a cheapskate that likes to travel and travel light - I use one of my wife's old 2mm crochet hooks as a mandrel, an old pair of tweezers out of a nail care kit and cotton balls out of the supermarket...it works not too bad!

If it matters, the CM uses a solid SS 510.
    The Geek vape is plated.

I'm cheap, too. That's why I brought this up... I want to get the best bang (without the bang, of course) for the buck.

However, unless it's untreated, organic cotton, I would avoid the supermarket stuff. I do have organic cotton balls from Walgreens, but they run around $3 for 88. I get Labo Puffs JOC...

I also like me some rayon...

Well color me stupid! I guess it's the fact that you can use the leads for testing coils? IDK, been looking at too much crap to keep it all straight anymore!

Alrighty, then. Doing some side by side comparisons of wire shots. I got some from Geekvape and some from Thunderhead. I have to say that they both work as expected, but the detail on the Geekvape puts the Thunderhead to shame. The Geekvape Clapton wire was very fine where the Thunderhead was quite coarse. That's not to say that I'm not using the other, just that it's not usable in anything bu monster tanks and RDAs. The Geekvape was fine enough to easily wrap and tuck into my new Avocado 24 in about 3 minutes.

Mine is still the KFL with a simple 28ga Kanthal build. I've got the notch in the Theorum and it's a very close second, I just got my Avocado yesterday, I've got to do another build in it, right now it's 22ga SS, 4mm at .4 ohms and I hate it! Muted "sanitary" taste, it runs hot, really hot and isn't anything like the Theorom IMO! The Goblin mini is close to the KFL, but I'll take the Theorom over it and I haven't played with the TFV4 enough to say one way or the other and I've yet to build on the Mutank. (Got too many new toys at one time I guess!)

Well 101 vape has the Geekvape 521 tab on sale for $18 this weekend, but I just couldn't do it, it wasn't what I REALLY wanted, so I ended up on Evilbay and got a Coil master 521 on the way for $32 shipped.
@Shawn Hoefer you might be tickled pink with the Geekvape, it's not a bad unit, just didn't let me get rid of my DMV off the kitchen table, like I'd hoped, still need to get a rough idea of coil length on wire.

You have an entire department of motor vehicles on your kitchen table?

I use a couple coil calculators and get pretty exact wire lengths... MicroCoil Pro and Vape Tools Pro.

I'm old skweel, I don't trust the calculators, had them wrong too many times! Then I have to do "suitable builds" on occasion, meaning I have to suit the build with what I have, to what I want, and make it fit! Then I have friends that want a particular build so I figure out how to make it work.
I measure resistance by length a LOT!!! So yes, I use my DMV for measuring resistance more than I like, but it's what I'm used to.

I used to check my calculators against a table of resistances (by gauge and inch) using a digital multimeter, but the new ohm readers are so much more accurate than my old multimeter (Radio Shack autoranging from .1 up), I gave up. Now, I build based on the calculators I've selected and they've more often than not been within .05.

More accurate than the ohm reader, the Innokin Coolfire IV TC100 is amazing...
