ya i had issues with that, id have to turn the knob a few times to get it to activate, eventually it wouldnt turn on at all, had to send it in for warrenty, and one time it was spinning 360 degrees id have t remeber what directin it was turned in so that the wires inside wouldnt twist....oh Yeah, They soldered wires onto that knob, you never solder wires to moving parts, its hack, i was hoping that when that knob turns it somehow made a solid contact to the switch, no, theres wires solders to it, and turning the knob pushes a tiny peice of a plastic, that pushes a spring that pushing into another peice of plastic into a button that turns the unit on, what is that? yes one of my units this configuration of lego-like peices came apart and the unit wouldnt turn on....
This is wrong wrong wrong! You've been really unreasonable about slamming the Darwin, it's kind of weird. When we all tried to help you you just turned on us and told us that it was a POS and wouldn't describe the problems you were having, so it really showed you as a troll. Then you offered to sell your broken Darwin, but got ...... off when people asked for more information on what was wrong with it.
There is no plastic piece pushing into a button. No plastic piece at all, so why would you make that up?
For the record, I love my Darwin, it has performed flawlessly for me. I haven't tried the Provari but I think it looks like a wonderful
mod and I may get one at some point. To me, the Darwin is a perfect dripping mod and the Provari is perfect for
tanks. There are fit and finish issues with the Darwin, and I have heard enough reports of hard to press buttons to know that this is a legitimate issue (Evolv is also aware, so hopefully they have figured this out). My button presses vary nicely, and I think most do.
Also, there is a difference between VV and VP. If you know what power level you like for a certain
juice it shouldn''t make much difference if you change attys, you know right where to set it. Now, suppose you just want to tweak it to taste. In that case the Darwin is still better because it is easier and faster to adjust on the fly. Just my .02
