I been vaping for 10 days and I have kids... I never smoked infront or around my kids or in the house for that matter. I'm trying doing the same with my kids, with vaping... I try to vape when I'm alone in the living room ... and the kids are in the bedroom... My son ( 2.5 yrs old) covers his mouth and his eyes when he sees me vape, when he walks in on me ... I stop when the kids walk in on me ...

Is this safe .... I mean reading reports like this post here :
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ropylene-glycol-may-help-keep-us-healthy.html

Is it ok for my kids to be around me when I vape ??? I just vape when I'm in the living room or the toilet ... I never did this when I was smoking, never in the house. What do you guys think ??? Is it safe ???

I can't guarantee that's it's 100% safe although it is safer than regular cigs. I personally prefer not to use it around children. Also make sure any ejuice you use is out of children's range because the nicotine can be harmful to them.
I have been super carefull with my kids when it comes to vaping and my ejuice it high enough that I'm the only one in my house that can reach it ...

I'm doing this to stop smoking and get off nicotine eventually... Working or weaning myself off nicotine slowly... I started at 24mg and now at 18mg ... will work myself down to 0mg hopefull end of this year...

My take is ,monkey see monkey do.Don't do things in front of your kids you would not want your kids to mimic in private or public, but who am I? As for safety of vaping the jury has yet to be chosen .If your son covers his eyes when he sees vape he must have learned smoking hurt his eyes at sometime or on a tv show.Tough choice all around , no one is perfect and if they are they are most likely the statue of the "bronzed Fonz in Milwaukee"

yeah it hurts to know, that when I smoked I affected my kids as well... And I know I'm addicted to nicotine ... And thats the reason why I was soo happy to find vaping. I've been trying to find ways to stop smoking and nothing helped. But vaping has... At least I know that I'm going to live alittle longer now... I havent smoked a cigarette since I started vaping gave them up completely... And I felt good about this, espceically for my kids...

I know my kids will mimic what I do... Thats why I try to not vape infront of them. I dont want any of my kids to get hook on nicotine. So I guess I'll keep doing what I'm doing ... I'll only vape when I'm by myself or in the living room/ restroom by myself...

Congrats on quitting smoking . Down the road you got a great "when I was young "story to give your kids that will work for sure,as you had something you wanted to change and looked the beast in the eye and took it out in an instant with brains, determination and knowledge. The worst thing about vaping for me is it does not seem that bad for me and I have no desire to quit it.Never really had a cig addiction except for when going out once a week so for me to give insight on how to quit would be pointless and crazy .Your doing all the right things kids are kids and parents are people too.

The Secret Garden
I smoke 0 nic around my grandkids. The previous winter we were sick constantly. This past winter only 2 minor colds for them and none for me.
So from everything I have read I believe that as long as it is o nic it is actually beneficial to our health. It does kill the bacteria associated with respiratory infections. My daughter an RN and a non-smoker does approve. She has also done the research and asked the doctors she works with. So we do have doctors approval that it is ok and does help prevent the spread of bacteria. That was proven way back in 1949.

Now I am not sure if you were to use nicotine if they would get that. So I would not try it. It is also true its not being a good role model, but they already know I smoke and wish their father would switch to e-cigs also.
He should, he bought a ultimate starter kit about 4 months ago, unused.

I actually recommend a lock box, just because when my children where little it never mattered how high I put something they always managed to get into it somehow
