Seems like ppl kenna fined becoz they admit they 'buy' the e-cig. (can't sell = can't buy). Lets be objective about the rules....wad if we say we found the e-cig on the floor or next to a dustbin? This is definitely nothing near to selling, buying or even importation. Can this reason saves ourselves from the fine?

vaping is water vapor. they cannot detect. they detect smoke particles rather than water vapor.

anyway, u see a gun/crossbow/airgun etc on the floor, u won't pick it up right. same goes for the ecig. U wun want to pick it up if its an illegal item.

smoke detectors do activate even when steam/water vapor/dust go through the ioniser. all these have same characteristics of real smoke and smoke detectors are unable to tell the difference between them.

luckily no cigarette smoke smell, so they just dismissed it as a defect n let me go.. but believe me, u wouldn't enjoy e attention from everybody looking at u when u emerge from e toilet!
