Well I finally ordered the Indulgence today.

I was sick of the 510 battery life and the Indulgence was the affordable option.

Now I have to sort out where to get reasonably priced batteries.

I am pretty happy with mine, I ordered the Indulgence passthrough and 6v cup and HV attys yesterday too.

I ordered more batts and chargers from dealextreem, they are very slow to ship but cheap as.
I would recomend getting another charger for back-up as the Indulgence one is a bit flimsy (where the power-point prongs fold down for traveling) and the 18650 s are tight to squeeze in. It is a pretty good charger though, mine auto cuts out at 4.12v and can charge 3v as well.

I am very confused as to which batteries I need.

Eastmall website says the Indulgence takes:

18350 3.7V - can't find them
18650 3.7V - OK, found these easily
16340 (CR123A) 3V - can't find these. 3.6V but not 3V

Anyone know where I can get the 18350 & 16340 3V or if another type can be substituted?

Thanks all for your suggestions with the batteries. I have decided to leave it a while before I get any spares and see if more options are available down the track. Seems some of these batteries might be fairly new in protected form. The LiFePO4 sound like a good option.

I found that extremetorches.com.au stocks some AW batteries which are supposed to be very well protected (and very expensive).

I just ordered an Indulgence and passthru the other night and have a couple of Q's.

Is there much difference in performance and battery life when using different batteries than the ones Eastmall sells for the Indulgence? Three for $18USD for the Eastmall batts isn't too bad as long as they're good, but if there are better performing batteries then I'd be interested, of course.

What's the deal with the Indulgence battery charger? Will I need an adapter to get it to work on Aus power?

Hey mate,

I haven't got an indulgence but I would imagine that the batteries they sell will be made in China. I have used many of these in the past from DX:

DealExtreme: Batteries (Page 1)

and can assure you they are just as good if not same (or better). Read other peoples reviews on the products pages. The prices are good and shipping is free. I get all my batteries/charger/flashlights/laser(well used to) etc from here.
