nah this is the ego jet tank system or some crap. the atomizer is encased. there was no operator error involved. i had already seen the video about removing the plastic in the botom of the tank. there is no way to access the atomizer other than the needle. here's where i am with getting a return, this is going on to day 3 now and will likly go on till, monday.

this item arrived in a faulty or malfunctioning condition. the ionizer is ionizing it's self causing toxic metal fumes. I demand that you accept nothing sort of a full refund. you've already lost all hope of making me a happy customer. the only thing you can hope for is an ex-customer who is happy with returning your hazardous worthless malfunctioning piece of crap. if you're thinking to tell me that you won’t take this back because I used it for 10 minutes before it exploded into toxic metal fumes that made me ill, stunk out my apt with foul burning electronic stench, tainted the flavor of everything i eat for the next 2 days, then me and janty are going to be having some problems with one another for a very long time. you're return policy is for restocking and hygiene issues, this item was unfit to be sold the first time let alone resold to someone else. you're gonnah take this back janty and you’re going to give me the return authorization number immediately upon mondays regular business hours or sooner, i advise sooner.

I've had that with my ego tank, cleaning the actual coil required removing the needle plate.. can be tricky and you mind end up damaging it but if you're willing to give it a go then vicky has the most thorough cleaning video tutorial I've found How I clean my eGo-t atty... or... Sunday morning at Vicky's kitchen sink alternatively you can go with the vinegar and soda cleaning which is also extremely efficient (link: novel way to clean an atty

I've had something very similar to your problem a few days back with a new atty and a nice thorough clean worked wonders.

For the ego-t system you want to use a juice with higher pg. when i was using the ego-t I used a 70-30 pg vg blend. vg is thick and does not wick well with the system, this may be why your getting a burnt taste. some juice suppliers have a comment box, and you can tell them you need your juice to be a certain blend. They are well aware of the problems that the ego-t has with vg based juices, so I'm sure they will be willing to do this. I ordered most of my juice from want2vape and had no problems getting them to do this. You can ask the company to e-mail you if they can't do it. Also you want to use the LR tanks, it will improve the flavor. If you prefer higher vg blends then the tank probably isn't for you. you can use other set ups with the ego battery.

I my self decided to get a red sky vv bottom feeder, cutlass, mod ( best price out there for a vv mod) and have been in vapeing heaven ever sense.

no, burnt taste is one thing. burnt tastes are what i've been smoking till now. this is burning electronic smell and horrid stench. thx all for wanting to help but unless you're a janty employee i don't want to hear about it at this point. i can put the juice on a cig and smoke it and i wont taste anything like this. nor will it make me sweat, give me the shakes or leave me with a dabilitating headake for 2 days.

I can relate to your ego t atty problem... my first 1 worked perfectly.... it died after few weeks( and still being a noob, I used and abused it) ordered 2 new ones, blew the first 1 out, worked fine and it popped, went to use the second, blew out primer, primed it, took a toot , and the taste was awful, tried breaking it in, still nasty ... taste, almost like chlorinated juice.. blew out tried again with a stronger flavor, still same nasty chemical taste, called said vendor complained and complained, threatened a chargeback, few days later in my mailbox was 2 new attys... I was so disgusted with the experience I have not used an ego t atty since....all I can say is if you aren't happy with said product and the vendor won't accommodate you, do a chargeback, dispute it with paypal, or call you bank...

umm well that's prolly not gonnah happen :) i heard a horror story about the 510. honestly it's sounding a little like mine lol. honestly i thought the 510 was from a different manufacturer. wasn't till after i shilled out a $100 charge that i saw :) i'm still willing to give this a chance, mostly cuz i hate ........ing myself for $100 :) but i'm gonnah have to get this one working first.

sooo, where is this coil then?

i disconected the unit in the middle by the switch by unscrewing it. i removed the tank and blew through the end that would connect to he battery segment. i may or may not have gotten a drop out of it, idk. it's still burning vcr.

brb going out for a smoke.

Not sure what kind of horror stories you have heard about the 510, but my husband and I have been vaping on the Joye 510 with atomizers and drip directly onto the atomizer. We have been at it for just over three weeks and have had no trouble. Good flavor and they are easy to clean with grain alcohol and hot water.

Also, I can't offer any info on a tank system because from what I read on the board prior to ordering, a LOT of people have trouble with them, so I haven't tried one. If you are determined to stick with a tank system, I would heed the advice of those who have been doing this for awhile and take a look at your juice. 100% VG is SUPER thick and might just be the culprit...too thick to keep your atomizer sufficiently wet. You stated you watched some videos. Do some searches on YouTube on the subject of PG vs VG. Most people like a small percentage of VG (10-20 %) because it provides good vapor, but PG is much thinner and is easier to vape, even if you are dripping.

Hope you get your issues worked out.

Sorry you're having troubles with your PV. My first device (after disposables) was an eGo-T, as well. When I first loaded up the tank and started pulling, it had that same horrid taste that you described. I tried to power through it, and decided that it wasn't going to happen. As it turned out, I was away from my apartment for several hours that day, and I didn't have backups with me.

Long story short, I didn't have the tank pressed down hard enough to pierce the tank on my first 4-5 drags. The way that I fixed it was to use as hot of water as I could stand from the tap, remove the battery from the atty, and the tank as well, and run the water through the Atty....from the tank side (where your mouth goes) and then blow through it, so that the water went through the filler and all of the air holes. I repeated that for probably 5 minutes, until I couldn't smell the burn scent anymore. Then I dried it out real well with a towel. It took about 4-5 puffs after for the flavor to be fully gone...and I constantly made sure that it was getting enough liquid into the atty.

Hopefully that helps.
