Question for the posse. Would it be horrid if we closed the store on Sundays? We love doing what we do, but after almost two years of working 7 days a week we are tired. We're thinking that it would be nice to just work 6 days/week, but would need to close the store one day a week to be able to do that.

Comments? Opinions?

Hellz yes you need to take a day off. You regularly work 12-16 hour days, 7 days a week. Thats more than anyone should ever have to work. JD said it best. If they cant remember to order during the other 6 days a week, its their fault.

I'm going to discuss this with Mr. V. I think he will agree to some time off every week. Yard work and hut work is getting really difficult to schedule with working so many hours. I just don't want to make customers mad.

Of course you can take a day off. I've found once it's posted to your site it isn't really a problem.You wouldn't really have to close your store.Just let customers you do not mix or ship on Sundays.Once it's in place people understand.I'm surprised you haven't done it sooner. It was nice being off those couple of days wasn't it...

Don't forget that the doctor works for you. You are paying them to help you, and they owe it to you to listen. They are not smarter than you, they just have a different education than you do. Sometimes you have to remind them that you are in charge.

And yes they do. I have a brother that is a doctor. He started out great, then slowly got a God complex like most doctors have. Every now and then I remind him that he's still a human, my little brother, and that I can still kick the carp out of him.

Thank you for the posse seal of approval! Stretchy, I will have to close the site for the time off, otherwise the orders will fall behind. I tried not mixing on a Saturday and ended up being horribly behind until Thursday. I was super stressed out over it.
Now to figure out what days/hours to be closed.

Holy moly, I might even get some form of a life! Though probably not.

You will even if it's watching a movie with Victor on a sunny Sunday afternoon. So close up and enjoy..Otherwise you will come to a point where you actually hate what you're doing...I would do what Sallie said.Half day on Saturday and all day Sunday.
