So I'm home from my long day out. Well maybe it wasn't so horrible afterall cause I took a nap at my grannys house where there were no kids interrupting me and making noise. She sent me home with enough leftovers for a week. Beef stew, hashbrown casserole, fried cabbage, cornbread, half a bag of chips she didn't like and some sweet potato home fries she made just for me. I won't have to cook for the next two days. Yahoo!!!

At my sister's house all went well except for one of her dogs hiding from me when she realized I was going to groom her. I looked high and low for that dog and couldn't find her. She had already had her bath and I had put her in the laundry room and when I came back to get something from the room she dashed out the door and hid. An hour later, I find her sitting on my sister's bed. She must have been hiding under the bed where I couldn't see her cause I looked several times. She saw me and made a mad dash for the doggie door. I caught her just as she went through it.

I picked Morgan up from school and she was in a very foul mood. Once she was ready to talk she told me the tics are coming back and at school there's a kid mocking her and telling jokes about her. Not just because of that but because of her differentness (not sure that's a word). Stoopid jerk! If I found out my kid was doing that to someone, I would beat their azz.

Now I'm home. The homebound teacher is here with Alex. She's good with him but a bit aloof with me. She must have gotten a copy of my email. I could care less as long as she's good with him.

Some of them look more like a prison. The one we are looking at is very small and she gets her own room, which is decorated really nicely, and the rest of the place looks like a high end hotel. I'd choose it for myself, so it will work for her. She'll be living in the Dells. If she doesn't like it, I will show her pics of how she's living now. I took them in preparation for her complaints. I know her well.
When I worked as a CNA many, many moons ago, we had a unit like that where I worked.

Sounds like a decent day Tiff, but I wish Morgan had a friend that would stick up for her.

Tiff - sorry about Morgan. I feel ya. Fortunately my oldest daughter's tics are manageable now, but in elem and middle school they were pretty noticeable. Kids can be such jerks. We were lucky, most of her classmates understood. There are always one or two bad ones though.

Yeah, Morgan is in middle school. Tourettes syndrome is so strange how the tics can come and go and change so quickly. Luckily right now she's not having vocal tics. They're mainly localized to her face and neck. They went away for the most part over the summer. Now that school is back in, they're back. Yes, you wouldn't believe the jerks I've dealt with between my two kids in school being picked on and bullied.

I can just imagine what some of the places look like. The two facilities I worked in as a CNA and an Activity Assistant while I was pregnant with Morgan were nice and clean and good care was given. There are sometimes people that get in that line of work to have 'just a job". Those you can pick out pretty quickly...watch them. Most want to do their job because they enjoy taking care of others although it's not an easy job. I hope your MIL likes the new place and it's much better for her, plus you and Mr. V will be closer.

Morgan has one good friend. They both have a lot in common and are understanding of their uniqueness because they both have unique issues.

I just now finished filling out an application for an equine therapy program for Morgan. It's FREE and equine therapy would be wonderful for her. She loves all animals, especially horses and dogs. I hope she gets in. She qualifies from what I can figure out but they might not have the room. I've got the app filled out and am going to call them tomorrow. *fingers crossed*

As good as Monday was I should have known I'd have a sucky Tuesday. :( One bright spot though, the postmaster came up behind the window this afternoon when I was by myself and asked how I was doing. :) All 3 of the guys that should have been around up there had disappeared, and I had to ask the supervisor to help a customer with passport questions. :grr: Thankfully it wasn't all that busy!

It sounds like your Monday and Tuesday just got mixed up. Hopefully tomorrow will be a lot better!
