Mornin' y'all.

I REALLY did NOT want to get out of bed this morning. Melanie woke up at 11:30 last night. She came in the bedroom crying because she "Couldnt find her sleep". After I got her back in bed, I got comfy and had JUST started to drift off when I heard CJ saying "Ow.....OW.....OWWWWWWWA!" So, I go check on him. I open his door, and he's still passed out asleep, backwards on the bed with one foot hanging off the side of the bed with his head on the footboard. Then Melanie was up at 5:00 this morning to use the bathroom. When my alarm went off, I got in the shower like always. When I got out, CJ was sitting in the hallway. It was too late to put him back to bed, so I told him to go ahead and get up and get dressed.

Mrs E is taking her parents' neighbor to the doc/hospital today for surgery to remove a mass in her breasts. She was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of years ago. She's had to give Mrs E power of attorney because her daughter is a raging bit*h and moved to FL to live with her boyfriend/babydaddy not two months after her mother was diagnosed with cancer. But now that she's getting older, Mrs E thinks her mind is starting to go. She's forgetting entire conversations. So Mrs E will be bringing that up to her doctor today.

Since Mrs E will be gone, the kids will be getting off the bus at one of Kathryn's friend's house. I get to leave work this afternoon, go home to drop off the work van to get in the minivan to go get them. Throw some tv dinners in the microwave, change clothes while they eat, then load the van up with everything I need for practice tonight. I hope Mrs E gets home by then to help with getting the kids bathed and in bed. If not.... well, its gonna be a late night for them.

Good news Drott!

And now you reminded me to order a traffic lead for Mr. Victor. I need to keep him a bit closer in public. He's a bit too "in your face" for some people. The boy just ain't right....
That sounds like Charli. She's a "hugger". She will literally put her paws on your shoulders and snuggle under your chin. I think its awesome. Houseguests.....not so much.

I wish I knew what brand of harness my brother has for his boxer. I cant remember if I told y'all he got her from a rescue shelter. She's gorgeous and seems to behave a lot like Victor does. i.e. perfect angel. Anywho... the leash/lead doesnt attach to the harness at the top between the shoulder blades like most harnesses. It attaches low and under the neck. But what makes it cool, is the fact that the ring that you hook the leash/lead to, moves. As she pulls to one side, the ring slides to the other side and pulls her off balance without putting much tension on the leash. It prevents her from being able to pull too hard. I witnessed how effective it was last weekend. She tried to run after another dog that was being walked, and as soon as the leash pulled tight, she stumbled away from the direction she was trying to run, and it barely pulled my brother's arm. Its REALLY effective, and puts absolutely no pressure on her throat.

Congrats, Ruger! He looks a little demonic in that photo, though....

"Chick pix" doesn't sound like what they are. That term (as it's used in here) cracks me up.
Ive got a picture of Charli sitting beside Mrs E. Kathryn calls it the "Laser Eyes" picture. The glare from her eyes' reflection is so bright, it dims out the rest of the picture.

I giggle like a little school boy every time someone says "chick pix" here.

Goooood morning!
Youre about half right. It IS a morning. The jury is still out on the "good" part.

Well, Morgan is home sick. Alex is giving me a hard time about doing his school work. He has asked me no less than 10 times when I'm going to the store to buy him some beef ramen and ckn noodle soup. I told him later when Morgan wakes up. The homebound teacher is coming today and he is being difficult about school work. I guess I was a bit premature with my enthusiastic good morning. It could be worse, I know.

I've looked at all the school work and there is absolutely nothing I can do to help him. He's just smarter than me and I'm lost on all of what he's got. The HB teacher can help him but he still has to do the work she leaves him. I don't like doing homebound because it's like trying to homeschool a child that literally has an IQ at almost genius level and having no clue what or how to teach him. I also don't like when he's in school and I get three or four phone calls from him or the special ed teacher, or 16 texts, yes that is correct. I counted one day when my phone was blowing up.

James, sorry about your crummy night of no rest. The harness your brother has sounds very similar to what I use on Ruger. Shrek has a no pull harness that clips on top that does absolutely no good. He can pull me down the street easily and forget I'm holding on for dear life. He actually has pulled me down before in the yard and I was yelling at him to stop. Grass stains are hard to get out. I hope that your evening isn't as bad as you think it may be.

Alright, I'm off to see what Alex is doing. Nothing I'm guessing.

Do they have any online instruction that could help him with the school work you can't?

I need to know everything about chickens and so do all of you...Get this.. Chicken people (whoever they are) are going to kill the chickens, ship their dead carcasses to CHINA for processing and then ship them back to the U.S ..Everyone with chickens in the US will be rich because ain't no one gonna want Chinese chickens.I won't buy dog toys or bones for my dogs from China...Do they think I'm going to feed Chinese chicken to my grandkids? It takes weeks to get stuff from Fast Tech..How fresh are these chickens going to be? I think next year I'm going to buy all my produce and eggs from the local farmers.Drott..FV..Woodboy prepare to get rich with your organic eggs and chickens...

There is the whole internet that he could use. As far as specifically his school, nope. He just gets overwelmed and then shuts down. He's given a handful of work, explained what needs to be done, not the content of the work, and told to get it done. I try to go through the work and break it into small sets of work so he doesn't see the whole pile and freak out. Doesn't help much. He's very smart, like 130 IQ at 5 years old smart, but he does have to be taught the content.

He just wants his noodles. Bribe him tell him when he gets 1-2 pages done you'll go for the noodles. Never know might work.

Drott's dog shack on the move.

He did get two out of about 15 worksheets done. I went and got the darned noodles. I want a nap.

In more news..Chinese companies that are shipping batteries and juice have been getting their shipments to the US confiscated for weeks and weeks for postal inspections in cooperation with the USPS (read US government). Fast Tech has a notice posted on their website about it.Warning about the time wait for customs clearance..So I'm wondering if they are classifying MVP's as batteries? I'll try and find out just a heads up...

I did accomplish one thing, make that two things today. I got Ruger registered with the CKC, which I've been meaning to do and never got around to. And I bought noodles. I have no motivation or energy to do anything else right now. And I don't have to work tomorrow :( because there are no dogs. And I was informed that one of the dogs I'm doing Saturday was so bad at Petsmart grooming they only got one strip clipped down the back so the owner makes an appointment with us. Guess who gets to do him? Sometimes it is not a good thing to be the most experienced at the shop.

Oh, I successfully managed to live for another year! :) My birthday was last week so now I am the same age as Mrs Punkin, for a few weeks (she robbed the cradle). Now I understand what she meant when she said she felt old and wait till I was as old as her and I'd understand...

Crazy dogs should cost more even more than gigantic Newfoundlands that will hold still and let you do anything to them because they like the attention...Charge more..
