The gnocchi turned out tasty! Next time I'll have to work on pretty too. I just boiled them and poured a jar of white pasta sauce over them, got my carb fix!

Got some potatoes cooking to make gnocchi. Not sure what's going with it, but I'm in the mood for some heavy weight pasta!

I love gnocchi. I've never made it at home...perhaps you will inspire me.

I wondered when I read that. It's good to be creative with food...MOST of the time. Not every inspiration works out quite the way we plan!

bonfire time, it's getting quite chilly tonight. Sonny said "We have Southern Comfort, Coke, gas and matches. What could possibly go wrong?"

I have coffee, and a garden hose. kids.

It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. In the meantime...I'd attend that party!

And I managed to get myself out of bed at 6:30. It's nice not to sleep in, because I get the quiet pre-Indian-chick house.

Good almost afternoon. I slept in. I'm going to groom 3 dogs at someone's house today. I'll be gone most of the afternoon. I'm hoping someone (hubby) takes pity on me and does some housework while I'm gone. I've already done the kitchen and floors but the bedroom and laundry needs to be done.

All survived the festivities over here. Sonny did wander past a little while ago, muttered: "I am not a smart man." Then he wobbled back to bed. Mr. V tried to help me do chores, but ended up looking green and heading back to the house. They are both sleeping. Just to be horrid, I'm starting beans and bacon.

I love the quiet house in the morning too Rick, it's nice.

Slept late this morning without the guilt! I can only do that when we have a holiday.

The cats are being totally obnoxious this morning. Tearing up and down the stairs, and I keep hearing things upstairs go "THUMP".

I need more coffee.

I'm all finished grooming the dogs. I went to my parents to visit for a little bit afterwards since they live close to where I was at. My mom and I ended up going to Goodwill to look around. I ended up spending $55 there. But I got a ton of good stuff.

I just went through my dessert cookbooks to decide what I'm taking to a family reunion next weekend. I decided on an a Paula Deen Apple Cake. Watching YouTube videos with hubby now.
